About the Provider
Otter Play is a non-profit daycare located within Zion National Park in Springdale, UT. Otter Play is open Monday – Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and we’re closed on all federal holidays. We favor small class sizes and good teacher to child ratios so that we can do arts, crafts, projects, and go outside every day.
Children need to be safe, loved, and nurtured. We focus on ensuring our kids are provided with a rich variety of appropriate play-based experiences at each stage of his or her development. As children grow older they need new activities and social experiences to aid in their development. All children are unique and grow at different rates and in different patterns. Children should be encouraged to express choices, plans, and decisions as well as solve problems encountered in play. It is important that the environment supports individual differences with flexible guidance and appropriate materials and equipment. Our classroom provides activities that enhance growth in social and emotional development, literacy, music, visual arts, and science. And a location in one of the most beautiful places on earth always helps!
