Description: NEW BEGINNINGS CHILD ENRICHMENT CENTER is a Four Star Center License in STONY POINT NC, with a maximum capacity of 100 children. This child care center helps with children in the age range of 0 through 12. The provider also participates in a subsidized child care program.

Electrical cords cannot be accessible to toddlers. During today's visit you moved a piece of furniture in front of the outlet so the children could not access it.|

|Each child's diapers were not changed at areas designated exclusively for diapering, on a surface that was smooth, nonabsorbent, easily cleanable and of tight construction. In spaces #2 and #3, I observed the flanges that secured the rails to the diaper changing tables to be rusted and no longer smooth and easily cleanable. Please make the surfaces smooth and easily cleanable.|

|Formula and other beverages which require refrigeration were not identified for each child or properly refrigerated. The bottles in the refrigerator in the classroom for infants, were not labeled with each child's name or the date. The teacher labeled each bottle appropriately during my visit.|

|All equipment and furnishings were not in good repair. In space #3, I observed several books to be in bad repair. You replaced the books today. In space #5, I observed a throw rug to be frayed and curled. You removed to rug from the classroom today.|
|The child care administrator and all staff did not complete the Recognizing and Responding to Suspicions of Child Maltreatment training within 90 days of employment. One employee who was hired June 10, 2019, did not have proof of completing the Recognizing and Responding to Child Maltreatment Training on file|
|Potentially hazardous items including but not limited to power tools, nails, chemicals, propane stoves, lawn mowers, gasoline, or kerosene were not stored in locked areas, removed from the premises, or made inaccessible to children. In spaces #3 and #4, in unlocked drawers less than five vertical feet from the floor, there were adult scissors stored. You placed the adult scissors on shelves more than five vertical feet from the floor today.|
|All corrosive agents, pesticides, bleaches, detergents, cleansers, polishes, any product which is under pressure in an aerosol dispenser, and any substance which may be hazardous to a child if ingested, inhaled, or handled were not stored in a locked room or cabinet. In space #2, in an unlocked drawer, I observed a bottle of White Out labeled 'Keep out of the Reach of Children' with additional warnings. You removed the White Out from the classroom and threw it in the trash during my visit.|
