Description: History is made by the people who influence it, whether positively or negatively. Now, more than ever, we are confronted with worldwide violence and dangerous political leaders, and as educators we must strive to promote awareness through positive, peaceful methods that consider all aspects of our general social systems. These systems include the administrative, safety, health, educational, family, psychological, economic, political, international and more. For me, the most important of these systems is the educational system. Therefore, my employees are trained to understand and appreciate these systems, while at the same time placing particular emphasis on the educational system. They are trained to utilize this system in an effort to break or unfreeze the boundaries of superstition, the ethnocentrism, parochialism and stereotyping. I will be helping to facilitate the implementation of this system, as well as helping the children learn professional skills. By stressing the topics of love and awareness, we believe we are putting the raw ingredients into what will become the next generation of leaders who will positively impact history. Our ultimate goal is to establish a foundation that, through education for peace, social justice, human rights and democracy, will alleviate the level of violence and coercive tactics in the world.

Write a review about Montessori Scholars. Let other families know what’s great, or what could be improved. Please read our brief review guidelines to make your review as helpful as possible.
I recently toured Montessori Scholars Academy in Alpharetta this past week in March of 2012. I was very impressed by everything I saw. The school director was incredibly gracious and knowledgeable about every question I had, ranging from safety and security of the building to the educational curriculum. She keeps the teacher to student ratio below the state maximum so the children will get more individual attention. The cleanliness and design of the state-of-the-art building, the security of the school, and the organization of the school were all exceptional. The cleanliness of the kitchen and quality of food were also excellent. They can accommodate any food allergy or preference. Much of the food is organic, and prepared by a chef that you can tell puts love into her cooking. I grew up with a mother that cooked me amazing meals, and it’s true that the quality and intention put into the meal comes out when you eat it. I am confident the children receive every meal made with love and good intention. The staff was very friendly to me, but more importantly attentive and respectful to the children. They truly have patience and a love of teaching. It is very apparent that this school provides an environment will help children thrive in their education!
. The diversity of the staff and families is wonderful. Parents are encouraged to be a part of the experience and their child's education. It is worth a visit!!
Montessori Scholars Academy is a hidden treasure. The school is new, and from old reviews apparently it went through growing pains over its first year. We found it at the end of the summer 2012, while looking for a good Montessori school in the area that offers the Elementary level. My son’s Elementary teacher received her AMI training in Italy, so her approach is very classic Montessori, and our family loves it. He felt at home right away, made friends on Day 1 and loves going to school. Last year when he was in Primary (at another AMI-Montessori) his main focus was Math and Geography, and he was not so interested in Reading or Writing. Ever since he started Elementary at Scholars’ Montessori, and with the skills and care of his new teacher, his Reading and writing have literally exploded (and the planets, dinosaurs, geography, geology…). He is reading chapter books and is asking if he can stay up a bit longer at bedtime to read a couple of extra pages of his book. The Elementary teacher makes sure that students get exercise throughout the day when needed, so that even active and daydreaming children can go back refreshed and focused to their work (they do a bit of Yoga some days of the week). An added plus is that the facilities are amazing: Brand new 4-story atrium and high walls (from what the owner explained the design has a special height and filter system to help clear allergens and germs), also has two green areas and playgrounds, special reinforced internal and external walls (anti-tornadoes), special digital sign-in system and other structural advances that makes the building specially safe and secure. This school year parents are forming a Families’ Association, which I believe is a sign of a maturing school. I read in some of the old reviews that the administration was deficient before, but apparently there was a change of management, and our family’s experience was seamless: The administration was caring and informative. But frankly, what convinced us to make the decision was the quality of the Elementary Instructor (and of the two Primary teachers).
As a parent I had my son go to that school. And let me point out that
1. the Office Mgr was completely rude and unprofessional on a regular basis. She has an (English) language barrier (or doesnt speak it very well) and when she didnt understand what I was saying she started yelling at me and disrespected me as a parent. She became very aggressive and hostile towards me.
2. The owner and office mamagmt lied to the parents on many occassions for financial gain( to keep my tuition).
I belive that he has been lying to many of us parents to protect his name and business and doesnt have our best interest in heart. he is a business man and that's all it comes down to at the end. As a parent it was such a dissappointment . I wouldnt send my worst ennemy's kids there. All of my emails were not replied to and ignored.
3. All they want is your hard earn money.
