This is a GREAT school! I can't believe the review left my "mamabear". Most of the teachers have a christian background and are very caring people by nature. My son had a high fever one day, not only did they call me but when I arrived they had a bowl of ice water on the table and were wiping his forehead with the cool water! All kids get hurt on the playground at one time or another but I have found them to be very observant and I've always been notified of any injury although nothing serious to my child has occured, just an occational bruise.
Now, the Montessori method is the best for ALL children. They really don't have many "traditional toys" here. The things they have will teach your child. AND, the kids love it! They practice pouring, grasping, geography, and grow a garden each year.
My son was already reading when I brought him to this school and has now excelled in all the subjects taught (math,science etc). This is not an ordinary day care, your child will learn much more here. Hence the waiting list to get in! I almost didn't look into this school because of the above review but I am sooo glad I did! Check it out! I can't say enough good things about this little school! This is my son's last year and I will miss the staff and all that they do for all the kids!
The school did not watch children carefully. My son was constantly hurt by other kids - he was badly injured and bleeding and they never bothered to call me. They kept telling me that he needed to learn to defend himself. He was already reading and has a vast vocabulary but they made sure to exclude him from getting one of the fun made up diplomas that they gave to the children at the end of the year surely because I kept complaining about their service.
This center gives the Montessori discipline a bad name.
