Description: Montessori Children’s House of Lawrence is dedicated to young children, ages 2 ½ to 6, through the Kindergarten year. We create a Prepared Environment in which children can move about with freedom to choose works that will build a foundation for a love of learning in Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, Geography, Art, Music, Science, and Peace Education. Through this environment, with gentle, loving guidance from adults trained in the Montessori Method, the children’s natural curiosity, self direction, and love of learning will be nurtured. Through Peace Education, the children will be guided toward an understanding of cultural diversity, stewardship, and cooperation.
