About the Provider
The Montessori Academy of Cape Cod was founded in 1993 as a nonprofit school recognized at the state and federal levels. The Academy does not discriminate and welcomes children, families, and staff from all racial, national, ethnic, religions, political belief, sexual orientation, disability, marital and economic backgrounds to participate in all Academy programs. At the Academy, children work at their own pace in a non-competitive atmosphere and are free to engage in independent "spontaneous activity" and to experience success. The child perfects himself through his own powers, and moves forward guided by that inner force which distinguishes him or her as an individual. The Academy is one of only sixteen schools in Massachusetts to have been honored with affiliation status from the American Montessori Society. The administration and staff are dedicated to their work with children and uphold the high ethical standards set by our national organization. The National Association for the Education of Young Children has also recognized the quality of our program. As a NAEYC accredited early childhood program, the Academy is rated amongst the top programs in the country.
