Program is good. However they hire some very rude and almost abusive teachers. One blonde woman told a child to shut up and swore at him. Not right. Shame on them.
Can't say enough about Mill Creek ECP! They are welcoming and accepting to all families and have been amazing for my child who has anxiety with separations. They are patient and truly look at what is best for the children. I also really appreciate that my child is not stuck inside in a building all day. They are outside year-round and go for walks and trios to community businesses and forest preserves. The teachers and owner love what they do and it has helped my child grow leaps and bounds.
I have had my children here for 3 years and love it. I have never seen a more dedicated group of teachers. They love the children and my children love them. The time spent outside and places they get to go is something that I could not find anywhere else. I also love that the class sizes are small, with no more than 8 children I know my two are getting a lot of attention and time with their teachers. This program puts the children first and I appreciate that they are not pushing my children to read or write...which will come with time. My children are happy, independent and confident and I know that Mill Creek ECP has played a vital part in that!
I would not recommend Mill Creek ECP to anyone for any reason. On two different occasions within the first two months of enrollment, our child's health and well-being were put directly at risk by decisions made by the owner, I****, and her staff. She proved on each occasion that we could not trust her judgement for our child nor her ability to operate a school with a staff and enrollment of this size.
Mill Creek's promises of communication and candor are broken down by I****'s inadequacies to train and communicate with her staff and her penchant to make convenient excuses rather than appropriately address dire issues.
Staff at Mill Creek are no doubt kind to children, but please heed my warning about this school's empty promises and operational shortcomings before you consider enrolling your child.
