Description: MAP is a parent based non-profit program that was established 25 years ago to provide quality care to children enrolled in the Medfield Public Schools. MAP is fully licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care and provides care for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade.
Since the afterschool period represents a major portion of a child's free time, MAP is designed to provide a less structured environment than a regular school day. MAP offers various enrichment activities to enhance children’s interest, talents, and values. The program fosters each child’s need for relaxation, quiet time, an environment for homework, and a supportive atmosphere.
MAP currently services over 300 children at three different sites.
At Memorial, our modular classroom provides programming for children that are 4 and 5 years of age but not enrolled in kindergarten from 9:30-2:30 with a half day option and kindergarten children from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Kindergarten children may sign up for different sessions and programs depending on their schedules (morning K, afternoon K, or full day K) and the 1st graders join them at 2:40.
