I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I used Meadowlake for childcare for almost 8 years. I write this review so parents know what to expect. I feel like this Daycare is probably one of the better choices in town but that doesn't mean I give it rave reviews. Don't let the name "Christian" make you feel all warm and cozy as nothing really ever gets taught about Jesus. They do pray before meals and maybe sing a couple of songs but that's it.
There were some teachers we Loved!!! But then there were the ones we hoped would get fired, quit, or that our child would soon move up to the next class! Some teachers just didn't have that warm welcome all kids of all ages need and deserve when being separated from their parents in the morning. It should be a requirement to hug and say hello to all kids when they arrive, and leave.
They served water from the faucet to kids, no ice, not even chilled. That is just weird to me.
Building is warm during hot summer months.
There are two buildings. The owner mainly stays in the left building. Another girl manages the other building that includes the school age kids after school and during the summer. The owner doesn't have that warm personality I referred to earlier. She doesn't like to deal with issues. She doesn't apologize for her mishaps. She didn't even act like she cared that my child was leaving to attend pre-k at the school they would be attending for kindergarten. No goodbye hugs or nothingn.
I have been told by not only my child but others that the manager of the school aged kids is nice when parents are around but not when parents leave.
Favoritism is given to kids that the manager personally babysits outside of meadowlake.
I have emailed the owner on occasions regarding some things and she never bothered to respond.
One thing I will say about the place is that I always felt like my kids were safe. I just didn't always feel they got the warm, loving, caring attention that alll kids deserve.

I hope this review is helpful!

OWNER is AWFUL Lady, I left in tears after dealing with owner! I came to Meadowlake to be put on waiting list when I was 8 wks pregnant. I called when I was 22 wks to check on status and was told I wasn't on list. I was told to call back next week and speak to director. I did so and told her name of person I spoke to, she admitted they broke protocol and didn't take necessary steps to put me on list. I was told to come fill out paperwork again. I went to fill out paperwork, never received an apology and I didn't even ask to get my original spot back--which now I had 3 1/2 months of people ahead of me. Owner said I was rude.....I was more like on verge of tears thinking my child wouldn't have daycare I wasn't rude at all. Told her no I'm just scared I won't get a spot--she said coming in with an attitude wouldn't help me get higher on the list. I didn't even ask for a higher spot, never mentioned it, once I found out I wasn't on the list I just came to facility to get put on list "again." I told the lady I didn't have an attitude I was just doing what they told me to do to get on list. I asked for my application back because situation was very uncomfortable and I didn't want this owner having my information. She then ripped my application up and I walked out the door.
I would be first to admit if I was even the slightest rude but I went in there pregnant and scared and the owner was awful to me. They were the ones who made the mistake and I was treated like trash. Please go elsewhere if they can't keep up with paperwork for a waiting list doubt they can do much for your child. I'm glad this happened so I could go elsewhere. It blows my mind this place has Christian in the name.
