The administration changed several years ago and since then the staff has been very inconsistent, frequently leaving with little or no notice. There have long been remarks made by staff and parents that the management skills at work at the center are sorely lacking. The building is beautiful and the website is very attractive. The heart of the center.... Not so much.
I have always thought that this was an excellent school, with a beautiful campus, caring and devoted teachers and staff, and a great curriculum that helps children advance quickly once they reach grade school.
Recently, however, I have become concerned about the rapid turnover of really high quality staff and faculty, which makes me think that there must be some administrative issues that didn't exist when my first child attended the school many years ago.
The teachers today seem more apprehensive than they used to be, and obviously this has an effect on the children as well. Seeing caregivers come and go, often more than once during a school year, takes away from the feeling of security and consistency that is so crucial in early years of development. I think that there may be some management issues that need to be addressed in order to restore Maria to the amazing, nurturing environment that it once was. It is still an excellent school, but I would like to see the return of the many great teachers and staff that have left in the last few years.
