PHILOSOPHY: M.W.F.D. philosophy is to foster each child’s development to his or her full potential: cognitively, emotionally, physically and socially. This goal is accomplished by providing a warm and stimulating environment in which children can learn and grow. At M.W.F.D. children are helped to build self-esteem, to exercise self-control, and to learn to interact with their peers and teachers, as individuals and in-group situations. Hands-on experiences are provided in and out of the classroom. The enriched curriculum includes field trips and special programming in the areas of physical education and music. Areas covered in the curriculum are outlined in the progress reports.

Make Way for Ducklings has set Goals, Objectives and Standards as guides in working with young children and their families. At your visit you will be introduced to our guidelines and upon enrollment you will receive a copy of M.W.F.D. Parent Handbook which includes our policies, procedure, standards, goals and objectives.
