They allowed my child to get bullied by other children and let the kid stay in school because the parents of the child are “going through things” but that seems to be a personal problem… this kid would throw mulch at her, spit while the kids eat, swear around the kids and MUCH more. Some times they wouldn’t even witness the bullying my child and things that would be done.. my child would come home and tell me and then they try to find out what went on after the fact… if the teachers are hearing or seeing, what the hell are they doing?! Lori is quite a shitty person, she’s the director. She’s hardly even there to knows what in the world is going on with the place. So I called LICENSING ON THEM AND LICENSING TOLD ME TO CALL CHILD NEGLECT!!! They even told me my daughter had an accident on herself so they cleaned her up and why when I picked my daughter up and brought her home she had poop stains on her underwear because they clearly didn’t clean her up correctly! They told me they put a brand new underwear in her so why wasn’t she cleaned correctly?! As a little girl they should be extra careful and clean!!!!

As other people said there is a HUGE disconnect between the staff there. It’s honestly sad.

PLEASE DONT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE. I honestly feel bad allowing my daughter to stay in this kind of environment.

Kayla is honestly the only genuine person there and it just shows through how she is with the kids . Everyone else seems like they have no children experience.

There’s an isabel that works there as well and she’s terrible. A little boy Malachi used to bully my daughter and other little kids. Why did this ISABEL ISOLATE MY CHILD… when clearly that child is the problem. And yes I seen it; it was during breakfast time when I first dropped her off and this boy kept bothering her and my daughter was moved to a table all alone… luckily another staff seen it and realized my daughter was alone and sat another student next to her.

If you want unorganized this is the place to be.. you will always find a new person working with your child. And for my daughter I don’t like that.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

Imagine getting stuck in traffic because of events going on down Main Street, so what usually is a 12 minute drive to your child’s daycare turns into FORTY FIVE, daycare starts calling at 5:29, you explain the traffic and you arrive at the daycare at 5:55 (25 minutes after the asinine and unusual 5:30 closing time) just to be told that tomorrow is your child’s last day because you’ve picked her up late twice now. The day after her birthday. She cried the whole way home. Most other local daycares close at 6pm and still give parents a 15 minute grace period from what I’ve experienced elsewhere, with or without late fee. Keep in mind, both times I’ve been charged $35 late fee just to now be given one day notice to find alternative before and after school childcare, which will now cost me another registration fee on top of weekly fees to start her at a new place where she’s going to have to adjust again to a new setting. It’s a good thing I wasn’t paying $160 a week for this because I NEEDED childcare, I paid for this program because she wanted to be there. Both late pickups they had only had her in their care after school from 3pm on, although today I was not coming from work like I was the first time I was late, they know I work 7-3, so while they find it justifiable to kick a little girl to the curb while she loves and looks forward to coming there everyday, just because they got stuck there 25 minutes longer god forbid, the first late pickup was because I got stuck at my own job almost an hour and a half past the end of my shift. I’m a single mom and a nurse. They also got so much money from me during this one month period from the time I signed her up to when they decided they took enough of my money and don’t have enough staff to begin with, which probably justifies losing my weekly payment. She went her first week end of April, and then the following week she went in on Monday and they called me during shift change that afternoon right after they picked her up from school saying I need to pick her up right away bc she had a cough, which turned into a nasty cold where she didn’t attend the rest of the week. The following week, she returned to her school on Thursday still with a lingering cough, however this center didn’t allow her to return because of the cough, almost 2 weeks later. So I ultimately paid $320 for my child to attend one day in a matter of 2 weeks. Oh, and don’t forget the late payment fee because I didn’t come in that prior Friday while she was sick and pay ahead of time for the week that she didn’t even attend at all, while I was also sick myself at that point, and instead I waited until Monday two weeks later when she finally was allowed to return. Shame on me right. Worst experience with any daycare center EVER, and Ive had many many perfectly wonderful experiences elsewhere in all my 18 years of being a mother thus far.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My son had multiple injuries there, and I regularly completed injury reports. I tried to excuse it since kids get injured; however, after his finger was almost amputated, under their supervision, they showed no remorse or concern. It was sign our injury report once again. No call, no what can we do, do you need anything, etc. Nope, sign, so we aren't responsible. I'd think twice about this place.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My kids absolutely love it here! There are activities for all the kids no matter their interests and staff always have different games to play whether it be for water play, field games or different games inside. The center has also been very accommodating and up front about information regarding our current Covid-19 situation which has helped to give me some piece of mind about their safety. Would definitely recommend!

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My child has been with Magic Years for several years and I have never had an issue. The staff is very accommodating and all my interactions with them have been pleasant. The facility itself is very nice. Not to mention they have a huge fenced in playground!!! My son loves it! I would recommend taking a tour if you are interested. Definitely 5 STARS! :)

Where do I start? This daycare should be closed!

My kid was there for one month and after I saw how they treat the children there, I pulled him out immediately.

- It is very, very noisy and there is no order whatsoever.
- The "providers" are always shouting and yelling at the kids.
- The infant area stinks of poop all day.
- They do not wash the kids up (in fact, my child was never allowed to wash his hands or face - They are trying to conserve water).
- My kid had a spat of diarrhea and this person called Amy wanted my 8 year old to wear those special diapers!!

I have since filed a complaint with the Child Care Licensing Unit of Rhode Island!
