I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Completely unreliable. Workers are friendly and from what I can tell provided good care for my child (infant), but they are clearly overworked and underpaid. Staff members seem to quit every other day and I can't blame them after having a round myself with the director.

Expect to be called in the middle of your workday to come pick up your child at least once a week because someone has quit and they are short-staffed. You will still be charged the full-time rate though. The director even sent a mass-text to parents asking for help filling in, which I'm pretty sure is highly illegal in the daycare-licensing field as there are certifications and background checks that must take place before someone is allowed to work with children.

If you take a tour, they will brag about their camera system that allows parents to view the rooms at anytime, but in the entire year that my daughter was there, I was only able to actually view her classroom about 2 months because they were always moving her around to a different room that I didn't have access to or having technical difficulties. Owner lives in Florida and doesn't give a s*** about her staff. They need to shut down. I am so glad to be done with this place.

Very gloomy. There is just a sad smell when you walk in. It was not uncommon to see teachers yelling at children in the halls about where to go or stand and the children just looked confused and scared.

I hate to be that person to judge a book by its cover, but I did not get warm and fuzzy feelings picking up my baby from staff members missing most of their front teeth, or with pink hair, or inch-long eyelashes.

Just stay away from this place.

DO NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILD HERE! I WISH I HAD DONE MY RESEARCH BEFORE MY CHILD CAME HOME WITH A BLACK EYE AND NO EXPLANATION!

I normally don't write reviews, but my daughter was at this daycare for over a year. If you love your children do NOT send them to this daycare. On 2 different occasions I went to drop my daughter off, and because it was so out of control, I had to actually call into work and take her home with me. They have camera's 24/7 you can look in on the room, this is great for the parent, however, I personally witnessed a caregiver rip a mat out from under a child who was sleeping. The little boy who was 2 rolled off the mat and the caregiver put the mat away. I reported the incident to Janet (the owner), and not sure what was done, but the teacher was still there. I could write a novel, but just a summary of what led to pull our daughter out: Caregivers scream at the kids on a regular basis to the point it's unhealthy, they have terrible turnover, the food is cheap and what I would consider slop, the toys never get cleaned or replaced, they have a board of shame (white board) where they list people who don't pay. Overall, very unprofessional on many levels, and to be honest, I can't understand how they are still open. My only thinking is that there is so few daycares in Hardin County and specifically Elizabethtown. We sent our daughter to Heart and Soul and absolutely love it. Look at this daycare if you are considering Little Peoples.

I have to agree with WVARoots. I tried Little People's despite the rating; thinking that, "it's just one person's opinion...maybe there was an unknown issue." Well, thank God they are not my last desperate resort! My family and I relocated from another state on military orders. The center is quite gloomy. It appears that the children only come to be watched and not educated. All of the technological amenities they have to make the parent feel secure are just a facade for their crappy customer service and daily experience. Management and owner only care about weekly tuition and fees; or anything that is financially beneficial to the center, NOT THE CHILD. They do not appear to reason even in the most logical situations. My daughter loves going to school and hated going to Little People's. I gave it two weeks and pulled her. The childcare my daughter now attends is 110 times better! The environment is awesome and it says, “We want your child to come here because we need you” and not simply the other way around. I pay a little more a week, but it is definitely worth it. The director knows that other childcares are closing due to the new KY childcare laws, and she is using it as leverage to treat new registered families as she pleases. Whatever you do, this center should be your last resort.

Rarely do infants get their food on time--I spent a lot of time observing each day. The facility did not have a working thermometer when I requested one. If a legitimate system were put into place to ensure children are fed when they are hungry and a thermometer was available, the score would have been higher due to the hard work of the loving caregivers in the room (they unfortunately don't have a say in the management of the facility). The rooms and hallways are rather bleak and cheerless, having not been updated/painted/scrubbed down for quite a while. High chairs do not have any cushioning, just the plastic base. The toys and bouncers/exersaucers/swings are old and never have batteries. Carpets could use a good cleaning or replacement. This facility should be chosen only as a last, and desperate, resort.
