Description: My child care philosophy is based on the understanding that children need a safe and secure environment where they can succeed and be appreciated for their uniqueness. I support the theory that play is the foundation for a child’s learning, so to facilitate this I will supply the materials for play and the guidance necessary to help each child achieve this goal. All children will participate in a variety of individual and group activities intended to develop good social, emotional, cognitive and physical development as well as lay the foundation for language and reading readiness skills. Consistency and creativity are key elements and I am committed to supporting all stages of each child’s development.
My mission is to provide the best quality child care using proven resources that will enhance the early learning and development.of each child. Everyday the children will be exposed to developmentally appropriate fun activities that will encourage creativity and discovery on the part of the child. I will provide an environment for gaining friendships, self-esteem and confidence that will hopefully last a lifetime. I am a Level 5 Child Care Provider with the Maryland Credential Program. I have hundreds of hours of child development training and am currently working towards my ECE Degree. I have taken both versions of the Maryland Model for School Readiness and use the model for my curriculum. I am once again serving on the Board of Directors for the Maryland State Family Child Care Association to further my professional development.
