Description: Lextended Day is a non-profit, tuition-supported after-school program serving children from all six elementary schools in Lexington. The program operates from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m.
Lextended Day provides a supportive after school environment designed to meet the varying needs of the participating children. Our professional staff is committed to quality child care. In order to provide each child with adequate attention and supervision, we strive for a student/teacher ratio of 1:10 for children in grades 1-5, and 1:8 for the kindergarten children.
After a nutritious snack, children are given ample outdoor time for free play or to participate in teacher-directed activities. The school facility and surrounding grounds provide the perfect setting for the variety of small group activities offered each day.
Dance, drama, fine art, crafts, story telling and cooperative games are all part of after-school fun at Lextended Day!
