Our philosophy is rooted in widely accepted early-childhood research that indicates the deepest, most effective learning is ingrained through play-based learning. Our strong academic curriculum supports free and structured learning in both the group, and individual setting, by providing a cognitive, physical, social, and emotional framework to play-based learning. Play is an essential part of childhood. It offers the freedom children need to explore their surroundings, develop new ideas and concepts, and build a sense of competence, autonomy, and a positive self-concept. Play based learning allows children to apply what they have learned to different situations, and practice decision making in each scenario.
We believe children learn how to form positive, caring, cooperative relationships by interacting with children and adults. Our low teacher-to-student ratio facilitates such interactions in a safe, secure, and nurturing environment. Through these interactions, children build valuable social and emotional skills, and learn to get along with others.
We view our children and families as our partners. We believe open and honest communication builds a partnership that ensures the full needs of a child are met. We also recognize parents as the most important adults in the lives of their children. It is, therefore, our goal is to involve our parents and families in creating a successful learning experience for each child, and assist in the task of providing a strong foundation for their child’s future development.
