I'm stunned at the negative reviews of Learn and Play. I have been sending my children there for six years and they love it. My oldest was so sad to leave when it was time to graduate and go to kindergarten. The staff is loving and kind and my kids learn so much. My oldest was so prepared for kindergarten. There are lots of great activities for the kids, all year long. It's reasonably priced, good care, food is provided, the hours are terrific. I would recommend Learn and Play to anyone.
BE VERY CAREFUL. Please do not send your child to this day care if you care about the SAFETY of your child and are looking for a quality care and education.
This is the worst daycare i have ever seen,not only is the director rude and bery cold hearted but so is the administrator and the staff. They put on a show when you come in for a tour not only that but what I've noticed is that a random teacher does it and not the director or administrator how is that even possibly when you are trying to enroll your kids these people could be giving you false information. What i found very disturbing is that some staff members are dressed with shorts that you can see their butt cheeks. Ms madhu doesnt seem to be very organized with the center because not only once but twice did i see that same girl tell her that she has been wrorking since 630am and she was only leaving at 6pm that is very unorganized,when i got there to get a tour there was a teacher at the front desk that couldnt even answer my questions. I really hope the parents that put their child there thinks very hard
I am in complete disbelief as I read the negative comment about Learn and Play in Mineola. I have been sending my boys there for a year and a half and the care they have received has been phenomenal. They have learned so much there that their pediatrician told me they are well ahead of the curve as far as reaching milestones with language and development. The teachers there are always caring, knowledgeable and accommodating. My older son always comments that he loves them and loves the firends he has made at the center. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Learn and Play to anyone that is looking for a loving learning environment for their children.
This is bottom line the wost school! Don't be deceived by the fancy classrooms and 24 hour surveillance. My child was coming home with multiple bruises all over her body, when I had questioned the school they came up with a bunch of excuses. About a week after I noticed the bruises the school called me to have her picked up because she got scratched in the face. When I had arrived my child was hysterically crying she told me other children had beat her up. I was beyond upset, I talked to the owner of the school and she said no one had seen it happen. I was even more mad at that resp once because all that it was telling me was that she was not being watched. The owner of the school said that she would talk to the teachers and the children's parents. Only a week after we had another episodes of this abuse, the same children had attacked my child biting her hand so bad to the point she was bleeding! I got a frantic phone call from the school that I needed to come to the school. I had rushed over there to find my three year old daughter hysterically crying in pee pee cloths completely traumatized to the point she couldn't even keep her breath. I talked to the owner of the school and demanded to see the video tape of where this happened. She told me no, and said that there was nothing I can do about this situation. I asked if there was a rule to keep bullies out of the school, she said that there where no guarantees this would not happen again. She then continued to tell me that they do not suspend children from the school if they beat up other children. I told her I was going to wait so that I can personally talk these parents, she said if I didn't leave she would have me escorted out. I have never in my life had to deal with such a horrible situation. I will never send my daughter back to that school, and I hope other parents are aware that this school don't watch children, and that your child is not protected against bullies.
