I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My daughter attended Laurel Oak from the time she was 6 weeks old until she started Kindergarten. I can not say enough good things about the care she received and all that she learned. The staff was very supportive of any concerns I may have had and resolved them in a timely manner. Laurel Oak Children's Center treats everyone like they are family.

It Is Our Goal...
What do you guys think?
? Promote a strong relationship with every child and parent.
I was told by your employee. I am a problem we want you child but not you and stated I attacked 2 teachers there one being room 3 Brittany. Another teacher was not stated by name. Mind you this was said in front of my child.
Proof: I got the other teacher of the room who witnessed the interaction asking her to please give my child water when she asks because she is on antibiotics and has strep throat, however, no fever for 24 hrs. but if there is call me or anything call me I will come within five minutes because it’s picture day. She verified I did not ever attack any teacher and was polite even though Brittany ignored me several times. For her as a teacher to lie and assault my good character. Shameful. No eye contact ever given from Brittany, I even have to bend to get her eye to eye to show some type of respect. There is no hello hi good morning nothing from Brittany. I even signed he research assistance for school for my child to help her one student to another. There’s more….. Provide an efficient, loving and educated staff to implement programs.
I can say she has learned some things at Laurel Oaks even though we teach her at home. No complaint there.
? Provide a variety of learning activities tailored to each child's needs and capabilities.
I have no idea because when I ask I get the response I don’t know what Brittany has planned in here I’m just a floater and in morning I ask Britany but gets no answer so why press it I teach her at home anyways. Right.
? Teach all children correct behavior, including self-discipline with positive reinforcement.
No Idea.
? Provide opportunities to further develop fine and gross motor skills according to development capabilities.
No Idea.
? Stimulate language development in young children.
No idea. Sounds great though.
? We will collaborate with families to provide the best opportunities for all children to reach their optimum development.
There has been no collaboration even though I am eager and a willing participant in my child’s life. I believe the teacher of my child is a definite staple in her childhood development. Working with the teachers is paramount to my child’s development. It’s important to be on the same page and to know we are on the same.
? We desire to help prepare children for a successful future in elementary school.

? Resources and opportunities will be provided for families to become involved in the child's activities.
I would love to know how and what? I always participate and bring something for every occasion so what am I doing incorrectly?
? Various activities will be encouraged to best suit the families' interests and needs.
? We will have an "open door" policy, welcoming all parents to come in and out of the center freely.
In that open-door session, I was told,” the owners will give me a call that was 3 months ago I showed concern about Brittany and the shift from happy Brittany to what it is now. I have even cleaned the table when she was sat at the dirty table for breakfast with no complaint I mean I try. No call. The response I get when no water was given to my daughter all day was you forgot her cup. My husband did forget her cup and I was unaware that morning I did not receive a call through all that was said was we didn’t know if you minded her drinking out of a school cup. I still did not complain I just thanked God I had a cold water in the car and got it to her right away when I picked her up and she said mommy water, please. In the open door, I was told if you don’t like it go somewhere else! I’m letting them know you're giving your two-week notice Mind you I said no such thing. She refused to take my payment and just kept informed on what to pay from today to take my child and go. Here’s how much you will owe from today the employee said, “the one that collects the payment who hardly says her name.” After all this Laurel calls and said she can retake her picture the camera shows she did come in her outfit after they placed her in someone else’s clothes, the treatment I received the attempt to debase my character. I cam home and cried so hard. I just couldn’t believe with my little brother dying from cancer and trying to keep a smile. I am being treated like this and they call to say oh she can take pictures over…. I expressed this to them so calmly even though I was already sobbing uncontrollably I mean imagine the emotion behind this. I am so hurt. She hung up the phone. I drove to the school returned the shorts my daughter was wearing after washing and drying it. Gave her the money the other lady refused to take and just walked out when I asked was it you who called and hung up on me she said yes you were yelling. I said in my head she didn’t call for pictures at all she needed some to say I was yelling. I came home and asked my 81-year-old aunt and husband and daughter who heard the entire conversation and they said mom you were so calm no you weren’t yelling you were just crying so much maybe she misunderstood u. Crazy I never cry. My family just said its ok mom people will be people. I’m not sure how I feel about that because I try to be the very best person as God would be u know?
? Provide a developmentally appropriate learning environment.
From what I see in other classes yes.
? Support the development of all children's social, cognitive, language and physical skills and to recognize various cultural backgrounds, learning styles and individual interests.
Absolutely not. I don’t see where they understand other cultural background or respect them. For me, my child sleeping in front of the door and head near a bathroom which smells like urine at nap time where people step over her to get into a classroom where everyone else is in a cardboard cubby is just disrespectful and shameful. I still had to respectfully ask the teacher to place her back to her original spot near the wall back in her cardboard cubby. In my culture, we don’t eat or sleep near pooping facilities.
Greeting a person in morning and afternoon is a form of respect. “Good Morning”, “Good Evening” or even a Hi... Parent name. But nothing in return or not even addressed by the lead teacher Brittany. I get her chair take her jacket off and sometimes must beg for help when she cries because she doesn’t want to say so I can do the next drop off.
? Recommend outside resources and provide guidance for parents to assist with the child's specific needs.
The only guidance I received is if you don’t like it go somewhere else!
Security. No one is ever in the office during morning or afternoon for pick-ups. I call no answer. I must leave school and drive to talk to a teacher.
