Kornerstone Kids Academy

We are excited to offer you a fun, safe, healthy and educational environment for your infant, toddler or preschooler. Our classrooms are set up to allow your child to learn and grow at their own pace and in their own way. We use a play-based curriculum that focuses on learning through play, with an emphasis on kindergarten readiness. Our lesson plans are designed around the children's interests and the activities and experiences are planned to enhance and encourage each child’s developmental areas of language, cognitive, fine motor, gross motor, self-help, and social-emotional skills. You will find that our classrooms are rich with materials and equipment for reading and writing, creativity and art, music and dance, sensory and science, math and manipulatives, dramatic play and building. Our playgrounds are equipped with awesome climbing structures, tricycles, hula hoops, sports balls and even our own garden! At Kornerstone Kids Academy, we have a family like atmosphere, and encourage family involvement throughout our day. We encourage family members to come share a meal with their child or read a story to their child's class. We have field trips and family fun nights. We pride ourselves in getting to know our children and families. We believe that family involvement and communication is just one of the “Kornerstones” in providing your child with the highest quality of care and education. Our Classrooms: The Tiny Turtles Room is for infants 2 weeks to 12 months old. We focus on creating a warm, caring, calm environment where your infant can build his/her self-esteem and feel safe engaging and exploring the world around them. Infants will learn self confidence, listening and speaking skills, and how to play with others. The Kurious Kangaroos Room is for toddlers 12 months to 2 ½ years old. This room is designed to spark curiosity and create new and exciting experiences for your toddler to discover. We focus on active learning, speaking and listening, sharing and self-awareness. Children will learn self-help skills, about making friends, colors and shapes, as well as introduction to ABC's and 123's. The Busy Bees Room is for toddlers 2 years to 3 years old. This room is set up to intrigue your toddlers curious mind and give them space to move and grow. This room is also our potty training room. We focus on active learning, speaking and listening, sharing and self-awareness. Children will learn self-help skills, about making friends, colors and shapes, as well as introduction to ABC's and 123's. The Creative Caterpillars Room is for preschoolers 3 years to 4 years old. We focus on inspiring creativity, hands-on learning, fostering independence, cooperation and communication skills. Your preschooler will learn problem solving, pre-reading, writing and math skills, along with many other life long skills.  The Eager Elephants Room is our half day preschool room. Your preschooler will have the opportunity to develop a variety of skills and knowledge and become independent explorers in a fun and inviting environment. We focus on inspiring creativity, hands-on learning, fostering independence, cooperation and communication skills. Your preschooler will learn problem solving, pre-reading, writing and math skills, along with many other life long skills.  The Wise Whales Room is for Prekindergarten children 4 years to 5 years old. We focus on following mulit-step instructions, critical thinking, social and collaborative skills. We prepare them with the skills and knowledge needed for Kindergarten, such as, reading, writing, math and social skills. As well as positive and effective ways of communicating, while giving them a place where they feel safe to explore their own unique interests.
