STAY AWAY FROM THIS DAYCARE- I started my 3 month old son at kids world hoping that he would receive great care but that definitely was not the case. They seem over crowded In the infant room and every time I was there to pick up or drop off my son there were babies crying that weren't being attended to b/c they were busy with other children. I thought that maybe this didn't happen every day and figured I'd see how the week went. On the 2nd day I noticed a 1 year old child with a severe runny nose (yellow snot dripping all the way down to his mouth) playing with all of the other 1 year old children and no one seemed to notice or even care that his nose needed to be cleaned...I mentioned this to the daycare worker the next day and asked "is that child allowed to be in here around the other kids with a runny nose like that?" She replied "well, no not really but..." and didn't say anymore... I started to feel uneasy about the daycare from this point on. My son also seemed "out of it and groggy" each day I picked him up, like he was in shock or something... I thought maybe he is just getting used to the new surroundings b/c he was home with me for 3 months.... The next day I noticed my son was starting to get a diaper rash around his rectum so I dropped him off and asked that they please use the ointment I had already given him, and the lady agreed. I picked my son up that day and another woman was changing his diaper and my son was crying pretty loud but I figured maybe he was just cranky. I got him home and immediately took off his diaper and was extremely upset... he had the worst diaper rash ever all over his rectum, butt cheeks, scrotum and groin and there was clearly no ointment applied to him at all. I tried to clean him off and he just cried and gasped in pain, my heart broke for him.... that was why he was crying so loudly when she was wiping him during his diaper change, his butt and genitals were raw!!! (he started there on Monday and by Thursday had this terrible rash) I decided right then that my son will never step foot back in that daycare again! Not to mention when I picked my son up there was a 4 month old baby laying on a play mat all alone b/c she was busy feeding another baby, one of his arms was stuck underneath him and he couldn't get it out and he had spit up all over himself and the mat... I informed the daycare worked and she immediately put the baby that she was feeding down, picked up the little boy, wiped him off and put him in his bouncer and started to clean up the mess, with an attitude, never once saying anything to me as I stood right beside her...If I wouldn't have said anything...how long would that baby have laid there in his own vomit??? There was also another baby crying in the crib and another 1 year old crying in a high-chair that no one was trying to console.. they kept saying "oh, your ok"... I also noticed that they "prop up" bottles for the infants that are in the bouncers when their hands are full which really pissed me off... I don't pay you to prop up a bottle, I pay you to hold my son while you feed him.... I am sure that my son sat on his butt all day long in his bouncer when he was awake , not to mention that he slept in this bouncer as well, no wonder why he had a rash- PURE NEGLECT! I took pictures of the rash and showed it to the daycare owner and told him how upset I was but to my surprise he didn't seem too shocked.... I also showed the pictures to the daycare worker and she stated "we play with him and stuff, he doesn't sit there all day... and I never noticed a rash"... HOW COULD YOU NOT NOTICE THAT PAINFUL RASH ON MY SON??? UGH I am disgusted and I will NEVER refer anyone to this daycare, ever!!! I collected my sons things and as I was leaving I demanded a refund and he stated "I'll cut you a check on Monday", never once getting up from his desk to open the door for me b/c my hands were full and was not at all apologetic for what had happened to my son!! I have never been more upset and hurt as I was this past week... I am a first time mom and the thought of someone neglecting my son hurt me to the core... If you love your child I suggest that you AVOID THIS DAYCARE LIKE THE PLAGUE! I hope this place gets shut down for treating innocent children this way... I am just disgusted! Sincerely and HONESTLY- ONE PISSED OFF MAMA!
