Description: KIDS FIRST is Arkansas’s first Pediatric day health care program for children with special health care needs and the only such program based in the UAMS system.KIDS FIRST holds the unique distinction of pioneering interdisciplinary day health services for young children with special needs in Arkansas.KIDS FIRST Newport has a spacious new building that has allowed them to expand their capacity for serving children from 0-5 with special needs.KIDS FIRST-Newport works in cooperation with local, area and state colleges to provide observation and training to nursing, early childhood and special education students.
