My five year old attended this school for 2 days before i pulled her out and reporTed them to the licensing department and the department of children and families. they allowed my daughters biological father into the back, he took pictures with her and talk to her for FORTY FIVE MINUTES!. now you may think well that is her dad but here's the thing. 1. He was not on ANY of the papers i filled out. 2. He showed no identification therefore he could have been anyone. 3. this man hadn't seen or spoken to her in three years due to imprisonment. 4. at the time that they allowed a criminal into there school he had a warrent for rape, and is now a registered sex offender. when i talked to the retard at the desk after she informed me that my daughters father came to visit her at school, she simply told me that there was NOTHING she could do. that if he does come back she HAS to let him in. So basically if someone walks this school and says there the parent they'll have access to your child. MY issue was solved and my daughter is now graduating preschool in a few weeks. the next day i went to family central and they took her out of there and she was in a new school three next day.. what they did is against the law and Like i said my issue was delt with.. Unfortunately important only one parent and they were not shutdown. But if they did it to me and my child they'll do it again.

I'll write a review right after I get done going after their License for what happen to my child. Buy into the hype if you want but ask yourself are the parents pleased because they don't know what's going on or drunk off the politeness of the staff if you love this place then by all means I encourage you to find out the hard way years later when your child can express themselves better...and Mr.s Director the person who pulled his child out, did set the record straight what you wrote is what they called "Damage control" you will be hearing from me on a consistent basis and beyond that what took place with my child is totally unacceptable and wont be washed under the rug with smile's and pleasantries you're not the only one with an education and resource's. I will not rest until I'm reassured what happen with my child will never take place in your daycare again trust me on that. And to those who would falsely update this forum in and attempt to over state the reputation of this place, I have the time, finances, resource and know how and don't need any extra motivation however lie on the circumstance concerning my child and I won't rest until there's a Starbucks on that corner where Kid Cadoodle's use to be.

Kid Cadoodles Academy was the best decision I have made for my three years old child! The curriculum, teachers, and staff are outstanding! My Son was given the opportunity to flourish in a safe and warm environment. Kid Cadoodles academy gave my Son all the tools necessary to be a strong academic student. My husband and I are proud to have found such an amazing preschool in Hollywood, Florida!!! M.R.

Someone's Mommy Mar 13, 2013

Let me start off by saying that it is a shame that i am giving this daycare 2 stars when i would've given it *5* if it wasn't for the new change in owners.

This daycare was at its best when Ms. Lourdes was in charge. She was a super friendly, caring person who was always smiling and greeting parents as you walked by her open office door. You could tell she was very compassionate and understanding. All kids loved her! My son would always run up to her and hug her. Big sign to me when i first enrolled him that this daycare was for him. (Kids can sense when an adult is friendly) .. She always answered my questions in a cheerful way, called to check in with me when my son was sick, kept in contact with me about his progress, and so much more. All good signs to me. Also the majority of the teachers were also very loving and caring. My son had a few teachers that he loved very much like family, and i loved feeling comfortable to know that he was truly happy. I had NO complaints whatsoever. Until recently.

With the change in owners (unfortunately), the new owner/director has taken over and made a lot of changes in the school-- all to her benefit. She never introduced herself to parents, and quietly changed the daycare around from within her closed office. You barely see her around because she's in her office adding more and more "improvements". New uniform shirts which are so huge that look like a dress on the kids, smaller fridge for the food to be kept in which kids can open and take anything out, new programs and services for example: music, ballet, gymnastics, children's birthday parties (is that necessary? oh yea more money!) oh and of course, replace ALL staff including (my son's favorite teachers) from day to night. Think about the psychological effect this has on kids, babies and toddlers in particular. Coming to daycare and seeing new people around. This daycare HAD great teachers that really cared about the children and HAD lots of different hands on activities and projects that my son would bring home and show me. Can't say much about the new staff because it seems like all the great teachers/caregivers were laid off and replaced with these who just started last week.I won't be surprised if there are any more changes.

From my point of view, the new owner sees kids as little dollar signs instead of humans.... Its a shame because my son was very happy there and in my mind I'm already planning to take him out as soon as i find something better. They say change is good, but its not always for the best. This daycare feels more like a business than a place for kids to learn and have fun. As for the daycare space itself, It is very big, spacious and really nice. Lots of room for kids to play. Different sections in each classroom and cute little miniature chairs and tables for kids to sit in. The playground is big as well and surrounded by large white fence making it very safe for kids not to run off into the street. It has trees that provide shade in hot days and a variety of toys and little playground houses and sandbox. This daycare is in EXCELLENT physical shape.

So in conclusion, I am just very very, extremely disappointed in the change of owner and staff because i thought i had found "the one" for my son. And many people know that it is NOT easy finding a daycare you trust. I COULD give it a chance, but when you feel it in your gut that something is not right, or that people give off the wrong vibe, or that your child mentions that he's scared, you have to listen to your intuition. Mother's intuition. Now on to keep looking.

They don't follow basic regulations like ratios or curriculum. They don't even follow a proper curriculum. The VPK class is often out of ratio leaving one teacher with 20 kids. The owner doesn't have knowledge of Florida regulations so the preschool is mismanaged and the kids are the ones that suffer. Don't waste your time going there. The building is pretty and fairly new but the teaching is mediocre.

Best preschool in this area!  I have an 8 month old who has been there for a few months and the staff is wonderful, caring and loving.  The director is very nice and knowledgeable.  Perfect school for infants.  They also give you lunch and Kosher if you request.  I am very happy with the preschool.  Would recommend to anyone.  Thank you!

Director Sep 05, 2012

I am the Director of this beautiful school. As such, I cannot stay quiet after reading the comment by "concerned parent", which is totally unfair.  I also understand that no place is absolutely perfect and every parent and child must find the school where they feel comfortable.

I remember this family, who had no problems and never complained to our office about unsanitary conditions or staff.  The first day grandma came to pick up the child and, yes a parent let her in and there were 2 office staff in the front desk, including the owner, who stopped her and identified her BEFORE she went into the classroom.  This is the way we conduct our business, NO ONE comes into our school without us knowing them.  We don't have "thoughtless parents" in our center, our parents are courteous when holding the door for other parents.  As long as the staff in the office knows the parents, they are let in. Also this "french door" is always locked from the outside.  Anyone who knows about child care knows that a door cannot confine children, therefore, the door must be unlocked from the inside only.

The side door is not an entrance/exit.  It is an emergency exit that is not used by parents or staff.  The school has never received a complain about this door, because it simply NOT USED.

This school has an excellent record and nurturing staff.  We have not had any problems with security or sanitation.  As a matter of fact, we have the cleanest, nicest center in this area.  I know because I've done my research and can personally attest to that.

I am sorry about their experience and found it necessary to set the record straight.

Thank you.

Concerned Parent Jul 02, 2012

I do not recommend Kid Cadoodles Academy. We were promised a safe facility for our child, and from day one we learned Kid Cadoodles Academy does not care about the safety and wellbeing of the children. I was told there is always someone at the front desk and everyone who enters the facility is checked in. I was also told there was only one exit to the outside, besides the fire exits on the playground. On my child’s very first day there was no one at the front desk and we were let in by another parent. We soon learned this is how it goes almost every morning, afternoon and evening there.

Thoughtless parents hold the door open to one another, and of course there is no staff at the front desk to verify if those being let in belong there or not. I was also shocked to see there is a second exit to the street. A side door in the front classroom that leads right to the parking lot! People were coming in and out, not being checked in and not being recorded by the cameras.

We gave Kid Cadoodles Academy a shot for a few weeks after speaking to the director who promised this laps in security was rare and all of our concerns would be addressed with the staff, and corrected. As the days went on we found that there was consistently no security at the front. The flimsy french door is locked from the outside but unlocked from the inside. Any child old enough to walk and pull a door handle could easily get out. The teachers seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. And the support staff came across as down right rude.  My child was never happy or comfortable there, which is out of character. As far as we observed, the children are just placed in front of the television all afternoon. And the condition of the school is not exactly sanitary.

I finally pulled my child out of the school the day I was let in by another parent, there was no staff at the front desk and my young toddler came around the corner towards the front door alone, completely unsupervised. Thankfully it was me who was let into the building at that particular moment and not someone who did not belong there, or even no one at all. My child could have been out in the street alone long before the teacher even noticed. I actually waited a minute or two before walking back to the classroom, before the teacher even noticed my child was missing. Anyone with children knows, even just a minute or two can mean life or death.

In short, this is not a safe and secure environment for children. If you are considering using Kid Cadoodles Academy for your child care, I recommend from our bad experience you look elsewhere.

My daughter has been attending there since she turned a year old.  I haven't had a major problem with them...yet!  The director, office staff & teachers are great.  They communicate with you whether its about your child or the curriculum.  my daughter has learned a lot over the course of her year there.  The weekly tuition is worth it.  Security cameras...learning...activities...she has it all!
