As a 30 year childcare provider with Hennepin County, I have a great program that fits many families needs for quality care........
We are a fun yet non chaotic program, while using inside feet and voice.
I work with children 6 weeks - kindergarten.
The program I run is high level of social skills and great Pre-School
education in a 'use all our body and senses to learn' .......(Kinesthetic style learning).
Manners and respect here are taught and used daily as well.
I have a privacy fenced in back yard with a fenced in area on the patio as well. Swing set , sand box , water play , riding and push toys along with a balls of all colors and sizes. In side is set up for children in each room . Great play and pre-school activities.
Children eat healthy here... with little amounts of sugar and gluten. High levels of good fat and organic meats , Veggies and Fruits when needed.
This program is non smoking and pet friendly. ( 2 small loving dogs.)
Current hours.. 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. Currently every child is picked up by 4:30.

Ms Colleen is so wonderful! I’ve had two little boys attend her daycare. Our youngest was 1 when he started and he is now 3 and still there. My boys loved Ms Colleen so much they called her mama Colleen. Colleen provides so much love and play to the kids. We’ve even spent time with her on the weekends riding her horse and playing at the barn where her horse stays. If you’re looking for someone who will love your kiddo Colleen will be that person.

Skylar still is really well mannered but she had a foundation from your daycare that will last her a lifetime. I thank you for that. We learned tools from you to correct the action immediately and effectively grow as a family and learn how to raise a beautiful, strong daughter. We miss you and everyone else and wish the best for everyone. When we come back to the cities we will definitely have to stop by and say hi to you and the kids.' We hope all is well!
I found Colleen's daycare and it's been a great experience from day one. I typically like daycare centers but my daughter has loved every day that she has been there. Colleen has been very helpful as all kids in the daycare are learning and growing! I definitely recommend.
Absolutely love Colleen's method of teaching and way of running her childcare facility. Our daughter loved it there as well. We would absolutely recommend Colleen for any aged child!

Mamma Colleen is AMAZING! With two of our children in her care, we have been so happy with the loving and consistent environment she provides. I feel supported as a parent and working mom as she firmly establishes boundaries, social responsibility and independence our children and urges us to do the same at home. With an emphasis on a consistent and predictable schedule, the children know what to expect and march right alongside. I feel safe knowing they are in her care each day. She communicates often and clearly, what she needs from the parents. Her daily efforts have prepared my eldest for preschool and beyond. She runs a tight ship and keeps even the parents on their toes!!

I have two children currently in Colleen's daycare and have been there for over 2 years. There are not enough words I could write about how much my children have thrived at her daycare. This is like no daycare that my children have ever attended. She is so loving to the children and the parents. In a week you will feel like you have an addition to your family. She keeps the same routine with a calm environment. Both of my children get so excited every morning when we pull up it is an awesome feeling as a parent.
I have known Colleen for over 20 years. She has taken care of my children many times. She is caring, sensitive, and supportive to the children and as a friend. She has supported me in conversation and prayer and connecting me with anyone that might aid a current issue. She is well informed an amazing person and a good mom.
I'm Colleen's friend and a Grandmother that has a child in her care. Anyone who actually knows Colleen Jensen, knows that there isn't a better, more loving and caring day care provider in the area! My daughter has been going to Colleen full time for the past 2 1/2 years and has done nothing but excel because of her atmosphere. She is above average on all levels, her kindergarten assessment can prove it. Both of my children attended Colleen Jensen's home daycare for many years. We started when my son was three and my daughter was just under one year old. I can not speak highly ENOUGH of the care that Ms. Jensen provided. She is attentive, nurturing, and committed to providing a safe, healthy, and educational environment.
I was so thankful for the time my children spent with "Mama Colleen." Today, at ages 6 and 8, they still share fond memories of the fun and friendship they were able to experience while at Ms. Jensen's home. Ms. Jensen is professional and attentive: she does not hesitate to offer help and advice, stemming from her many years of experience.
Even when my son was experiencing some behavior issues, Ms. Jensen was willing to collaborate with me, and to try out different management techniques. She encouraged my children to play with their natural environment, to form friendships with the other daycare "brothers and sisters", and to try new foods and activities.
I will be forever grateful to Ms. Jensen for providing an excellent home daycare environment for my precious children. I knew when I left for my work day that my children were cared for, and that they would have a fun-filled day.

My daughter has been attending Colleen Jensen’s DC for 2 ½ years now. In that time the kid turnover rate has been next to nill. All the kids that have left (besides one) have left to go to kindergarten programs. That in its self says a lot to me!! We have never had any issues with the care Colleen has provided.
