About the Provider
Children are naturally curious about the world, and they have many ways to express what they know. They have
questions of their own that should be taken seriously by the adults who surround them. At the IPS/Butler University
Laboratory School, students gain math, science, language, and social studies skills through learning projects on
topics of interest as they discover the answers to their own questions. A special emphasis is placed on problem
solving and on the arts and sciences as forms of communicating, expressing ideas, and demonstrating learning. With
the support of a creative staff and the Butler University College of Education, students will be prepared for a
successful middle school and high school career and for successful lifelong learning beyond high school.
