I have used this provider for less than 6 months

DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS TO HUG-A-BUNCH CHILDCARE!!! The staff have terrible communication between parents and fellow coworkers and a total disregard for instructions left by the parents. My 13 month old daughter was there for a total of five days. The very first day my mom (on the approved visitor list) stopped by to visit my daughter and they TRIED TO GIVE HER ANOTHER CHILD! The staff member who let my mom in explained to the room monitor that she was not picking a baby up, just visiting. The room monitor then told my mom the babies were sleeping and she couldn’t go in. My mom looked in the room where my daughter was and observed she was awake in her pack n play with a red face from crying. The second day, my baby got sick and started projectile vomiting 10 minutes after I picked her up. The vomiting continued more than 24 hours, meaning I had to miss work AND they said she needed more diaper wipes (there was a brand new pack in her diaper bag but they clearly didn’t bother checking). In all the past care my baby has gotten she never once threw up...not even projectile spit up. The third day after reviewing the food menu I told her teacher I did not want her to eat the crackers for snack but everything else was ok. The teacher told me they wouldn’t give her any. When I picked her up I saw on her paper she did in fact have crackers that day AND they tried to send home a mystery bottle because they did not see her cup (it was in her diaper bag pocket in plain sight). When I called to speak with a director about the day she said it was MY FAULT my baby ate food I didn’t want her to have because I didn’t inform her even though she wasn’t there when I drop-off. The fourth day went smoothly other than the key pad to get in was broken so I had to buzz in and wait until someone let me in. By this point I knew I would be changing providers since I felt my child was not in a safe environment. On Friday (a day my baby doesn’t go) the director called me saying I had to pay a late tuition fee since I hadn’t paid since September 1. Funny thing is I didn’t enroll her until September 11. Hug-A-Bunch lets you pay up until the Wednesday after tuition is due so I don’t know why if they assumed I was late they didn’t tell me that when I picked up Wednesday evening. Instead they waited until I had to pay extra. When I informed the director I didn’t even enroll until the 11 she was quiet for a minute then noted she had made a mistake and it was a different parent who was late not me…..way to pay attention to details. The fifth day I knew would be her last day. I had found a place that could take her immediately AND at a better price. Two for one switch! Anyway, that morning after having to buzz in AGAIN and wait to be let in I looked at the menu and saw they were having hot dogs for supper. I told her teacher I didn’t want her having them. She assured me the babies don’t get hot dogs. When I picked my daughter up that evening, the first thing I did was check her report card and noticed “hot dogs” written on her supper line. I asked the girl in the room if my daughter ate hot dogs and she said yes, all of them! That literally floored me. I was furious. I packed my baby’s extra diapers and wipes up and was about to leave when a different worker said they had lost my daughters pacifier but found it in the dishwasher and would return it to me the next day. Great. When I got home I changed my daughters diaper and what do I find but a different diaper than the brand I buy on her with some other kids name on it. I just start laughing at this point. So much has gone wrong in the five days she attended, it’s almost comical. Again this notes the lack of attention by staff. The next day I went in to pick up her pacifier and asked for a refund of the second payment. The directors said since I pulled her without a two weeks-notice, we were out of luck. I was thinking, yeah lady we pulled her out because it’s not safe here and I did in fact turn in a two weeks-notice! I asked to speak with the owner but she wasn’t in and I was told I could call her in the morning but she would tell me the exact same thing. When I called this morning the lady did ask to hear what was going on and apologized but refused to refund me my money for the poor care and inconvenience of me having to finding a new center on such short notice. She also blamed most of the errors on a PREGNANT STAFF MEMBER. Long long story short, DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS TO HUG-A-BUNCH they have no respect for you or your instructions and don’t know how to communicate with each other. Worst daycare experience EVER!!!

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I wouldn't suggest this for long term. The staff can be very rude. And they punish for potty accidents which is nonsense. Linda is very unprofessional completely and very annoying. The owner is definitely a RACIST. Very disrespectful and she never smiles. She always how's a scowl on her face . They also have a high turn over rate and have lost a lot of good workers.

My son goes to this daycare and loves it! The staff is very skilled in potty training as my son is only 19 months old and is "going number one" in the toilet. He has gained great verbal skills from attending this childcare center. The staff is very caring and provide great care. I am planning on bringing my newborn to this place as well.

Your children will be physically safe, but the directors speak harshly to kids, place them in time out for longer than 10 minutes at time quite often, and punish for having potty accidents once they've transitioned to the 3 years old room. Not bad for a few hours at a time, but I would not recommend full time care.
