About the Provider

Convenient location near Pflumm and 135th. We are a Licensed Group Daycare Home that has full and part time openings for your special child to join our fun! Openings are for ages 12 months and up. We are really excited for you to meet our great group of kids and join us in preschool learning and play in a family environment. I am a certified teacher with a degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I have taught for over 20 years. My co-teacher is working on her degree and has several years of experience in child care settings as well. More importantly, she is a natural with children. She loves them and they love her! Our day starts at 7:30 AM and ends at 5:30 PM. We follow a routine each day and get outside as much as weather permits. My backyard is fenced and we live on a cul-de-sac. Swings, bikes, riding toys and balls are part of our day. We will have a water day each week during the summer as well so bring your sunscreen! We have at least an hour of free play each day. We rotate toys each week so that your little ones mind is always stimulated with new ways to play. We believe in learning thru play balanced with: Music Time - We love singing and dancing! Rockin’ Rob and Mr. Stinky Feet are favorites! Story Time - We read books daily. We follow a theme each week; Craft Time - Painting, stamps, glitter, glue or just coloring every week. Science Time - Basic experiments, baking, estimation, nature, etc. Manipulatives – blocks, play dough, tracing, beads, puzzles, etc.; Play time/free time - outdoors and in; Lots of Love. We teach all the basics through play, the most effective way for children to learn. ABC’s - letter recognition and letter sounds, counting, numbers, days of the week, shapes, colors in English, Spanish and French are all covered. Our curriculum is developmentally appropriate so additional skills such as learning how to spell and write our names, memorizing our phone numbers and addresses and basic sight words are introduced as appropriate for each individual child. We focus on social interactions. We use our words to express feelings. We use our hands to help and not hurt. We use our ears to listen and follow directions. We use our manners to make our friends feel appreciated. We take time each day to let you know how your child’s day went, what they had for lunch, etc. We are enrolled in the CACFP food program - so your child will receive nutritionally balanced breakfast, lunch and snacks each day. We are trained in First aid and take ongoing training thru the Family Conservancy! We are eager to have your child join us! Our openings are usually filled quickly, so call now if you have a childcare need. Please call today with any other questions. We would love to set up an interview with you and your child to answer any of your questions. We have references from both current and past families.
