My experience with Hiland Childcare was awful. The Director, Joann, and the Assistant Director, Evelyn, bully children by yelling at them with the intention to embarrass and ensure that they feel bad. When I complained, Joann began lying uncontrollably in a retaliatory message containing unheard of allegations about my daughter. I presented this to the board and they believed everything that Joann asked them to believe. They even said that this was "professional". Do not send your children here. They will undoubtedly hate it if they come into contact with Joann or Evelyn. You will complain, they will lie to you and the board is clueless as to how to investigate these issues. You learn a lot about a place by the way they handle complaints and the way they handled my complaint was disturbing. They were not forthcoming, nor honest. My kids hated it because of these two individuals. It really is a shame because I feel that many of the other staff have been lovely to my kids.
