Higher Learning Childcare Academy has been around for 26 years and has been serving my family for more than 20 years. They are a Christian-Based provider with strong values and morals that are second to none. They provide a safe environment for my children and grandchildren that I can depend on. They keep us updated with changes and concerns surrounding our children & their well-being in a timely manner. They are constantly training and equipping their staff so that they can continue to provide excellent care for our children. Be sure to give them the opportunity to care for your children as well.
I enjoyed Higher Learning. This was my children’s first daycare. The staff was excellent. If I needed to reach the director she was always available to call or speak to me at the daycare. I would enroll my children again if I ever moved back to kings mtn nc
I worked at Higher Learning for four months before I couldn't take it anymore. Please don't take your kids here. On the surface the directors appear very kind, but the owner, Barbara, is very selfish and cares much more about the money she makes than her employees or the kids. My checks bounced a couple of times, I was constantly working over my hours, I was told I would be paid more than I actually did, and the ratios are WAY over. I had MANY more children in my classroom than I was supposed to have, and Barbara and Laura just kept adding more because they just wanted more money. It's not fair to the kids or to the teachers. I don't believe they have good Christian standards or deserve to be a five-star facility in the slightest. They'll tell you whatever you want to hear to get you hired and won't actually go through with any of it. They'll throw you under the bus and put all of the blame on you in a heartbeat. Please just don't consider bringing your children to this place or working here. I promise you that there are much, much better facilities who will take care of you and your kids :)
This company doesn't practice what they preach!!! They are not at all on a higher level at any standard. They don't have any Spanish knowledge, computer avalibility, and do not practice Christian ways other than a pre-picked and reused bible verses on the wall each month (if they get around to doing it), they say grace though and that's it. Their agenda is a selfish one, that is only to make money and not the kids. They are not supportive of improvements or change. They will continue to put on a good face for parents and the state, while doing the least amount of work possible.
