Plan: Each staff member will be assigned "focus" children. This is so they can focus on observations, developmental assessment, and all those things in their focus group of children. To always maintain child counts the classroom staff will be required to fill out a daily child count worksheet for their focus children and they will be responsible for maintaining child counts during daily transitions. |

I put my son on the list 3 months before he was born. When I called 2 months before he was born they said he would be the next on the list and that he would defiantly have a spot since school will be starting and kids moving up to the next classes. After achool had started and almost time for me to go back to work, when I called to check when my son could start they told me that they are full and to find another facility. It depends on if they like you and how much work your kid will be before they accept your child into their facility.
I am the director of the center and the above review is very miss leading. Yes on one occasion the center had to close last minute, but that had nothing to do with the child care administration. This is a tribal center and the tribal administration decided to close it for the tribes annual celebration for the 1st time in 8 years. As being asked to call; that never happened and I did ask about needing to talk. The client was also directed to the assistant director, but did not want to talk to them. Checks, cash, or money orders are accepted. Yes checks were held one time in the office because of doctor appointments and chemo treatments. Once they leave my office I have no control of how long it takes accounting or the bank to process them. The teaching staff has been more then accommodating for parents wants and need for children. The drop off time cut off is 9:30 unless notified within 24 hours. I have never heard of wet socks and we do not allow children to set or wear wet clothes as stated in the review. Teachers are always being trained and watched on cameras. I am always willing to discuss issues with parents and we have some very happy clients. I can only address issues, complaints, or concerns if the parents are willling to bring it to my attention. But to each is there own.
My child has been going to this center since he/she was 2 months old. The facility is nice, but administration and management are not the greatest. They will surprise you with closing of the school with zero day notice (told on a Friday at 5pm that they would be closed that next Monday). This has happened more than one occasion. The director of the center has poor communication skills. I asked her to call me and never heard from her. The office administrator does not know how to manage or address parent concerns in a professional manner. Also, if you are a private paying parent, expect that your checks wont be cashed for more than a month in some cases. And they wont accept debit or cc. Now, on to the childcare itself. My child has come home with soaking wet socks that he has been in for more than 6 hours (and he has had extra socks in his bag). I have observed teachers not paying attention to the children in the room because they are talking amongst themselves about their weekend. If your child has a dr. apt in the morning they are very strict about not brining your child in past 9:30am. You need to get special permission. If you're like me, who does not have any family members or friends to watch your child any time they close or wont let your child come in late, it is very inconvenient. In conclusion, I would say the administrative staff is less than professional and accommodating. Some of the teachers could be more attentive or patient with the infants/ toddlers. There are many other issues that have come up, but I would be here forever writing about them. These are the ones that are really disheartening.
