Description: Here at Happy Trails we are always working towards a nurturing, yet challenging environment. We are State Licensed, DES approved, on the USDA food program, and we have a state certified teacher on staff. A place where your child feels safe and educationally stimulated. We provide a place where each child can grow and learn at his or her own pace in an individual child directed classroom while enjoying fun and rewarding achievements that come with learning. Happy Trails is set up so each child the opportunity to investigate, explore, study and discover in and outside of the classroom. Phonics, music, reading, writing, arts and crafts, games, dramatic play, science and math will all be part of your child’s daily schedule.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. My daughter has been attending for 3 years now and we love it. We love the staff, the long hours, and love the stuff curriculum.
I am very disappointed and upset with Happy Trails. This day care/preschool deserves no stars. I enrolled my 4 year old daughter for the 2-day full time schedule. This was my daughter's first time attending day care or preschool. She was so excited especially since she was going to make friends. On her second day of school after I picked her up, I asked my daughter how her day was. My daughter starting crying and told me a boy had punched her head during picture time. When I asked my daughter why she didn't tell the teacher she said the teacher told them they had to stay quiet. My heart was broken especially since I had asked the teacher how her behavior was (I still believe in children being respectful and good manners) Teacher had informed me she was well behaved and was a sweet girl. I called Happy Trails the following day which was a Friday. They told me the teacher nor director was not in. I let them know what was going on and told me she would let them know what happened and will get a call back on Monday. I received the phone call and was informed since she didn't tell the teacher and no one saw it, they could do nothing. I was told basically it was her fault for not saying anything. I let her know this was very unacceptable behavior. It's not right for any child to punch someone in the head and no one do anything about it. I also let her know I will not be taking her back especially when my daughter didn't want to go back. When I asked her about the annual fee I had just paid, (she only attended two days) I was told there was no way I was getting it back and good luck trying to get it back since I informed her I will be filing a claim. I was hung up on. This just breaks my heart to know this type of behavior from school directors and teachers are acceptable!
Happy Trails has been an amazing experience for my 3 children. Their teachers are extremely caring and welcoming and the facility is always so clean!!!
My 3 children have attended Happy Trails since they were infants. The office staff, teachers and other families were always amazing. I have been in and out of other centers for years and this is by far my favorite! I highly recommended it!!!
I just wanted to make a comment on the courtesies of the staff at the desk. When I first walked in the place I had to wait for the person at the desk to finish telling a story to another staff member before they even asked me what I needed. It doesn't take much effort to do the little courtesy
