About the Provider
Private Preschool-Happy Hands PREP is a professional and modern Preschool Readiness Enrichment Program with years of experience in the development of children. We offer full-time and part-time programs all year.We follow a Montessori teaching approach.State licensed K-6 teachers and a clean environment.
Our students are provided with individualized attention and therefore we limit our enrollment to meet the needs of our students.
We provide a private school atmosphere, where students are not confined to one room throughout the day as seen in other traditional preschools.
Our goal is to make all students/families feel welcomed. We are an academic based preschool which focuses on learning hands on.We assess our students three times a year for Kindergarten readiness to make sure all our students are achieving academic goals.
Our day consists of learning through centers and play as well daily focus block with teacher lead lessons where students engage in learning.
We focus on reading, writing, math, science, fitness, social development, baking/cooking, independence and self awareness, classroom behavior, outdoor exploration, critical thinking, and the arts-painting, drawing, drama.
Montessori approach to teaching as well as good old fashion hand to head and heart approach. We are hands on as this is the best way for our eager learners.
Outdoor play ALL YEAR LONG. We take students outside in the winter and sometimes the rain (appropriate gear provided by parents) what is better than dancing in the rain or building a snowman with friends/teachers.We will always discuss this prior to so students/parents are prepared. On those not so nice days we have an indoor play room so children are not in the same classroom all day.We also have a separate art/craft room
Our head teacher worked in many schools throughout Connecticut and is well established in teaching all level learners. We are experienced with ELL students and students on the spectrum. We accept students ages 32 months-6 years
We have expanded our program to offer a Toddler program for our little learners. The purpose of this program is to provide a consistant and caring environment, to get our little ones socially and emotionally ready to move into our preschool program.
We are have rolling open enrollment so you can enroll anytime of year. We have our preschool program during the school year and our summer enrichment program during the summer for ages 2 to 7 years old. We accept Care 4 Kids. Space is limited for all our programs so early enrollment is recommeded. Please see our facebook page and website to see all the exciting things we have done, and to see exciting things that are happening.
