Amy Nicole Paul Kylee Renee it is great! My daughter has gone there since she was 2 months old. The teacher is very informative. And they do so many cool things like spirit week, zoo day, stretch and grow (PE), fire safety, arts and crafts and much more. What I love about it the most is they actually bring people from the community in and teach the kids. They have firefighters come in and teach about fire safety, they have a lady from the health department come in and teach about food and heath education, they have a lady from the Dickerson Park Zoo come in and educate kids on different types or animals and she brings in animals for them to touch and see. She offers drop off and pick up for preschool kids. And the bus drops off and picks up at the daycare for the older kids. They taught my daughter sign language, and even participate in potty training too! I love it there and her hours are 6am-6pm. Every now and then she will do parents night out and orders the kids pizza! She provides all the food for the kids all you have to do is supply the diapers and wipes for your child.
I enrolled my child at this "school", in Hope's that they would flourish and grow in a loving, educational atmosphere...which is what I was led to believe would happen. If you have a child that you are looking for a place where they will be TAUGHT at, this is not the place for you. Any time I asked my child about their day, all I got in return was that they watched movies all day. I dropped my kiddo off at 6ish in the morning and the tv would be on. When I would pick them up it would still be ok and all the kids are sitting around it in a trance. My kiddo brought home only TWO pieces of artwork or paintings the whole time they were there. No structure, no routine, and the owner is a young girl who posts photos of her drinking almost every weekend. Abby Youngblood. My little one was sick at school and nobody bothered calling me to let me know, putting all the others ar risk of catching the same thing. My kiddos behavior completely regressed, as did their learning level. I withdrew my child as soon as I could and in the little amount of time they've been in another school, my child has brought home artwork and activities daily. This place is not a learning facility. It's a daycare. Do your research before you allow your littles to go here.
Oh no! I’m so sorry you feel this way. Around that time, it was summer and unfortunately, during summer time, we have so different ages and it’s so hard to get work done. When school started back up, it was difficult for us to transition into school time activities due to having some new kids who just weren’t able or didn’t want to sit still long enough to do school work. We also had some kids having a hard time with daycare. Eventually some kids had to be let go to find a better fit for them. Some kiddos we can’t get to participate and some kiddos crumble their papers up, etc. it’s just part of it. Hop on over to my fb page if you would like to see what all we do with them. As for the tv being on, well sometimes it helped kids in the morning when it was hard for their parents to leave. It was a good distraction for a few of them. Parents also didn’t seem to mind too much. I don’t really enjoy the tv being on either, but I will say, we do lots of fun activities and things with the kiddos. There is a preschool already located in Crane, MO that kids have to be 4 years old to attend. This preschool gets them ready for Kindergarten. Happy Campers Early Learning Center gets kids ready for preschool/kindergarten if the parent would like their child to come here until they are able to attend kindergarten. That is why it is called an early learning center. Kids are able to get aquatinted with other children and the idea of being in a school setting, they learn how to sit and eat their food properly, they do morning songs, calendar time, crafts, they learn how to properly line up at the door, how to treat their friends, and to not take toys from others, along with a ton of other things as well! They do worksheets and we extend the learning when we can. I wish I could get more things done with them but sometimes it’s just not possible. We do have structure and we do have routine. As far as drinking on the weekends goes, I am 25 years old and what I do in my spare time has nothing to do with how well the kids are taken care of. I am always receiving compliments on how well the daycare looks and how well the kids are taken care of.
Thank you,
Abby Youngblood
