I am an employee

I worked here and my daughters went here. I had to quit due to the absolutely terrible staff and the way they treated my 2 year old specifically. My 2 year old (25 months, so barely 2) is potty training, and does fantastic at it. In the 2 year old room at GCDC they are supposed to have a timer for the children potty training and take them to the bathroom every __ minutes. They do not do that. There were multiple occasions where my daughter would tell the main teacher, Olivia, that she had to go potty and Olivia would not take her, or would tell her she couldnt go because she already tried and didnt go that time. My daughter would go to the bathroom door and they would tell her to get away. She would go over an hour in between potty's, and would get scolded and yelled at, and called "disgusting" if she had an accident. I have heard these with my own ears, as well as was told by multiple other staff that she was being treated this way. And that she was not the only one in the room being treated like this, the teacher, Olivia, is mean to all of the kids in that room. She has told people she hates it in there, she gets overwhelmed constantly and has to leave the room, sometimes even for the day. Even more unfortunately, this was not the first problem I had with the treatment of my daughter, they would make her sit for 10+ minutes at a time when she was in trouble for something as small as not following a direction. The teacher, Olivia, would not let me talk to my daughter, every time I tried to say hi the door would be slammed in my face. The worst part of all of this is that I spoke up every single time something bad happened and the managers did NOTHING. The onsite manager, Tiffany, called me a b**** for telling the teacher, Olivia, that I wanted updates every 30 minutes in the ipad they have for parents saying she tried to go potty because I didn't believe it was being done, due to the constant accidents every hour and a half being put in the ipad, as well as saying that I needed to get MY s**t together because I was speaking my mind. Still, nothing happened and there was no punishment to staff involved. If you are thinking of sending your kids here, especially your 2 year olds, PLEASE reconsider somewhere else. You're kid will be bullied by the teacher and nothing will ever be done about it, even if you speak up.

The words "Child Development" is a stretch unless you count the fact your child will learn to use the words fart and but*.  If you child does not go the separate preschool, they might make one or two projects a week.  This place is not a good fit if you have a child with an active brain.

They make the kids sit in timeout for 5 minutes after nap time if they go to the bathroom during nap time!  Scary since children's bladder are not fully developed until age 7!  Also my child (age 3) said he would cry for help in the bathroom, but no one would ever come.  I regret ever taking my child here!
