Major red flags. We were terminated by Sherry because our 17 month old son couldn’t nap for longer than 1-1.5 hours. (Sherry expects all kids to be able to nap for 3 hours). Our toddler son was a “disruption” according to Sherry…. We had no other “issue” with Sherry other than trying to communicate about our son’s routine, which she was NOT pleased about. My husband witnessed her feeding the children sausage pizza for breakfast. At pickup I found my son stuck in a pack and play with another child, with toys inside. Both mobile 14-15 month olds, and Sherry was just sitting in her recliner next to them. When I asked how often this happens, she said “only when I’m cooking or cleaning.” Lastly, around Christmastime, at pickup I saw the other child in the pack and play again, wanting to get out. She looked at the child and said “I would let you out of there if you would stop touching the Christmas tree!” While I didn’t witness them stuck in the pack and play again, it was always set up in the living room. It makes me sick at the thought that they were stuck in there more often. She belittled me as a mother via text when I wouldn’t take my son to see a doctor when he had a runny nose. (I am a pediatric RN…). All through text, Sherry terminated us, and parted ways by leaving our stuff out on the front step the next day when we refused to pay her for an extra week after she terminated us. Looking back, it is such a blessing that my innocent and sweet toddler was “terminated”. He deserves so much more.
