We are foster parents this place helped us at the drop of a hat they was there every step of the way! Thank you guys very much and our baby loves going she said this is her school and loves seeing the staff every morning
Always clean. Staff friendly. Owners sweet and caring. What a day care should be.
This facility is constantly over ratio. They move children all day from one room to another but the owner expects the children to know exactly what to do and where to go in their room. My child was in the one year old room but being moved into the two year old room daily, with 3 year olds. She was expected to be watched by one teacher here while the teacher is expected to do diaper changing as well as watch 10 kids with such a wide age span. None of the toys in the classroom work. Most of them are very old, broken and there is a house in the classroom that is very dirty and it seems to be where most if my daughters bites and bruises took place. I've spoke to some of the teachers who are overwhelmed with different ages of students and will tell youbthey are under paid. Some of them will even confide that all the owner does is come in their room change the furniture and daily schedule around and then yell at them tt hathey should know what they are doing. Their highest concern here is how clean and presentable the facility is as well as the children just in case someone comes in. I've just recently pulled my child from the facility. When she started I was told the teachers had to have a CDA or TTC but Ive found out not even half the staff has this education including the director and owner. The turn over rate seems to be very high as well. My biggest concern is when I placed my child here I made my decision because they had been in the community for s long. I do believe they have the community fooled.
Gingerbread House is the BEST Childcare in Ringgold. I have worked there for years. They follow the rules and truly CARE for all the children so much. The Owner and her daughter Ashley Hicks give there Heart and Soul to what they do. They Truly Love all the Children and Parents. They give so much to be sure the Center is the BEST it can be and it shows. They never got into the business for "money" but because they truly Love kids! God has Blessed them and they deserve it!!! I appreciate them so much for the sacrifices they have made to be sure that The Gingerbread House is more than a place for children to stay. They are loved and cared for like they are their own children. Ms. Kim and all the staff are hard workers and are dedicated to their jobs and love all the children too! I give this Center a 5 Start Plus Plus!!!!
I honestly wouldn't give 1 star. I was extremely disappointed with this daycare. My child was large for their age so, the director felt they would do better at 15mths to go into a larger 2yr old room. But the teacher to child ratio would not change even though there would be a one year old in the room (not legal!) They called it "visiting" ....for 3months? Then the owner calls me to tell me that honestly...they keep my child in a high chair most of the day because they are so big that when they hug other children they knock them down! My child cried everyday going in and every evening they were starving. I put my child into a high chair in the morning and picked him up from a high chair in the evening....this place has some serious issues.
My 4 children have went to the Gingerbread house ever since they were all 3 months old I love the owner & all of the wonderful staff. My children looked foward every day to going to there home away from home. The gingerbread house is a loving Christain & educational place. I would recommend the gingerbread house to any parent.
I would not even give this daycare 1 star!!!! Horrible place! I worked there and saw UN-GODLY conditions! I would NOT send my dog there, let alone my child! This daycare is completely understaffed! At times I would have 9-10 babies which was against the law, however; the supervisor, Ashley Hicks, did not care. She was all about making money not making sure the children where safe. She would talk bad about the parents and but act sweet and caring to there face. There is NO way one person can safely take care of 9-10 babies! BEWARE PARENTS!
