Description: MY NAME IS AMIE KNUPPEL, I AM THE OWNER OF FOUR STARS CHILDCARE FACILITY. I HAVE A HUSBAND, DON, OF 19 YEARS, AND 3 WONDERFUL CHILDREN, DON JR., RICKY, AND TAYLOR. I LIVED IN DES ALLEMANDS ALL OF MY LIFE. I GRAUDUATED FROM HAHNVILLE HIGH SHCOOL IN 1990. I WORKED FOR THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE FOR 9 YEARS AND WANTED TO DO SOMETHING POSITIVE IN MY LIFE, GIVE BACK TO CHILDREN AND HELP THEM IN THEIR EARLY YEARS. I HAVE AN ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN CHILDCARE, A CHILD DEVELOPMENT DEGREE, AND A NATIONAL ADMISITATION DEGREE. I OPENED FOUR STARS DAYCARE IN MY BACK YARD WITH MY BEST FRIEND IN 1997. THEN I SOLELY TOOK OWNERSHIP IN 1999. THE DAYCARE WAS 1200 SQUARE FEET AND I TOOK CARE OF 30 KIDS IN MY BACK YARD. WE OUTGREW THE FACILITY AND DECIDED TO MOVE TO HIGHWAY 90 IN 2004. BACKED BY MY WORKERS, MY SISTER, DENISE MATHERNE, EVENING SUPERVISOR TILL TODAY, VICKEY TOUPS, DIRECTOR OF LAKEWOOD FACILITY ALONG WITH OUR FAMILIES OF FOUR STARS.

This day care is amazing. The teachers are so loveable but teach so much in so little time. Mrs Amie is one of the best people I have met in my life. She is so involved and does amazing things just to see the kids smile. She sure has a wonderful group of women behind her! I can't wait until my 2 year old turns 4 so he can attend.
