during covid my husband and i decided to send our 8 year old daughter to this montessori because we did not want her on zoom all day. from the beginning it was so awful. the only time it was positive was when they gave us a tour of the school and like car salesmen they sold us the dream except it was an absolute nightmare. the teacher was named sofia and she was never nice or open to discussion about our child's progress with us. they stopped emailing us back. they would not schedule conference even though on the progress report it clearly stated we should schedule a conference. after months w finally got one conference and it was a disaster- untruthful and very odd behavior by the teacher.
the worst was the bullying! my 8 year old daughter was called fat and she was pushed and had multiple kids jump on her and the teachers all hid this from me! my daughter to this day is scared because she could not breathe! they all ceased all communication and started acting very intimidating and vicious towards us. they would not email us back. we are and were at that time confused and shocked.
the final straw was they locked me out of the school- there was no email or altercation or anything to cause this behavior! my child was kept from me for almost 30 minutes because they deactivated my key for no reason!
their director , shandy is rude and we feel it may be a discrimination problem too.
please please do not send your precious child here if you want your family to have open communication with staff and teachers. your child may get bullied here and they will hide it from you and not even do any paperwork. horrible school and we are still very shaken up! dublin police is aware of their actions as well.
