Description: Forest Park has several outstanding features and programs along with strong leadership and a dynamic staff. The curriculum is geared for all students to achieve maximum success. The Accelerated Reader motivates students to read literature to build comprehension and vocabulary skills.Other outstanding programs offered are: Balanced literacy with phonics and whole language instruction, hands-on math connecting problem solving and computation, science lessons using experiments, weekly Spanish instruction, art, music, orchestra, technology lab, library media center instruction - literature and research skills, chess club, geography bee, spelling bee, student council, peer helpers, and safety patrol.
