So far my son has been coming along far from where he was. But some of the staff seem to talk down to parents and act like children shouldn't be children they almost except them to act like adults. I have heard the end results are good just wish certain staff would be more courteous of families and know each child is different and some kids and just that kids.
Love Florida Hospital Child Learning Center. My son attended vpk here and my daughter will in a couple years. Ms. Helen is excellent as is every other caregiver. Ms. Mabel runs a tight ship and it shows in the excellent program for all the children. My sons kindergarten teacher recommended he attend here over other places because she noticed the children taught at FLHCLC were better prepared for kindergarten in other areas aside from reading. I also love that they are very routine and the kids know how to behave and what to expect. My son also learned the Pledge of Allegiance and a few patriotic songs. I'm not even sure they are doing the Pledge at his current school.
My child went to their VPK program there and he learned so much, I can really tell they taught him. Ms Helen is a great teacher! The other teacher in there needs a talk on how to speak to parents because she talks to you like a child. And the director Mabel needs to retire because it must be her old age that gives her a bad attitude about eveything. I don't think I ever saw her smile. And she actually gave me a complex about picking my child up early. :/ I didn't know I signed a paper saying I had to pick up my child at a certain time everyday. (I'm being sarcastic) Overall, my child did learn! Although some of the staff made it hard for me to actually like the school in general but like I said ms Helen was great and my child loved her.
