Description: The childcare center is a ministry of The First Presbyterian Church. In April of 1991 the process began with the Department of Welfare to open our childcare center and school. So began the journey that has lasted 20 school years and hundreds of wonderful children. God has blessed us with so many wonderful people on our staff. In the fall of 1997, we started a full day kindergarten program. Parents have signed up their children early to be sure they have a place in the class. Together, stepping out in faith we have seen so many blessings!
Through this 20 year old ministry, many children have passed through our doors, being taught the love of Jesus. How quickly time passes; our first babies are now in college. Preparing our children for the future is an important part of our program. Nurture of their spiritual and educational growth is an important goal. Bible stories and music are part of our daily activities. Building a foundation for reading becomes ever more important as much research has determined the earlier reading readiness begins the better. Our Kindergarten class is blessed to have the opportunity to pray and read the Bible in school as well as learning skills for school success.
We continue to collect Labels for Education (Campbell's soup labels), Betty Crocker's Points for Education and Box Tops for Education. Thank you for your ongoing support! Please continue to pray for this ministry!!
