I know all about the NAEYC rating system and I am very familiar with how a child services program should be ran. This place puts on a great front. They seem great until you put your child there. The tour is meant to be nice and the director shows you all of the great things the center has to offer, but before you tour she alerts all of the teachers and (various students in and out througout the day) that parents are expected to tour the facility, which keeps them from yelling or physically restraining or positioning children. I have been there quite a few times unannounced and found that the "secure" door was unlocked. I walked right in and observed children being yelled at, hurried along, and denied privilages (restroom, eating when it is lunch time). I sat there in disbelief on each occasion. I thought about applying for a job here after graduating but I see now that this place is not somewhere I would even consider working for. No wonder they cant keep a decent staff or students! (Yes, the turnover rate for students and staff is VERY high). I'd give this place maybe two stars based on what I see that the general public doesn't get to.
