I would like to say that in this school MOST of the teachers are amazing! Ms. Zorina is absolutely a teacher that teaches in a way that makes kids want to go to school and learn. She treats everyone with respect and kindness. I wish I could give this school more than 1 star, but the Director AND Owner Melissa Lelm is the worst. My son has been going to this school for almost a full two years now and I can honestly say the only reason is how much he loved his teacher. If it wasn't for his teacher, he wouldn't have gone longer than a month at this school. This school is considered an "over flow" district school even though the school is actually a private school. This means that this school gets to do and act whatever way Melissa seems fit. The school, Melissa, DOES NOT like to have to deal with any student that needs a little more attention or special needs. An IEP? Not here, they will fight it tooth and nail. A 504 Health plan for medical reasons? Again, not if the school can bully you into giving up on your kid and your kids best interest in mind. If you happen to get stuck in this school and your child has an IEP/504, be prepared to get representation and have a million meetings, because it gets crazy. Lastly, for any one who has a child that has a lot of medical needs/appointments, just a heads up..... it does not matter how far in advance you try to be proactive on ANYTHING, you mill be lied to about make up days, about your childs care, about events, and about pictures. Example: My son had a surgery scheduled, I was told by the owner/director that he could get pictures done on the picture make up day and that it would be scheduled after the initial picture day. Fast forward a month later and after we spent a TON on pictures through a local photographer the school uses ( who knows why they uses a local photographer?) I reach out about the make up day just to be told too bad and that they would not allow my son to be part of the make up day or part of the class pictures. So like I said....... most teachers are GREAT! But unless you pay out of pocket here to line Melissas' pockets, I would avoid at all costs.
