Early Bird Learning Center Offers: Learning Studio

Curriculum, Enrichment, & Collaboration
Many other departments continue to collaborate with our program to enrich the learning, teaching, and curriculum. Our learning has expanded to include Chinese & Spanish culture and language lessons, instructional lessons taught by our future teachers enrolled in the Educational Internship Program, weekly "field trips" to the Library Media Center, 3rd grade "Buddy" Pen-Pals from Fairmount Elementary School in the Independence School District and mini-lessons orchestrated by our A+ students.

Additional Information:The Early Bird Learning Center provides an academically challenging curriculum with flexibility to meet the needs of individual students. Children are encouraged to explore and think for themselves. The curriculum helps children thrive and grow by leveraging their natural desire to learn about their surrounding environment.
The program is geared to the mastery of language arts and mathematical skills and encourages individual creative expression. The utilized curriculum is standards-aligned and designed to offer student’s rich, varied experiences with language and math. Facilitators use a thematic approach to learning which gives students an understanding of the relationship between disciplines.
Scientific and artistic exploration as well as physical activity are important parts of the program. Through outdoor play, science experiments/projects, and field trips, the children discover the wonders of the world around them. Students visit the wider community on field trips and for learning projects.
