Based on previous reviews, I believe this daycare has improved drastically with the newest director. My child was at a 4.9 rated daycare prior to this and the experience was traumatic. My toddler cried everyday. They didn't clean my child right, didn't update us about serious illness correctly. There was a host of problems. We moved my toddler to Doodlebugs as a last resort only because our friend send his kids here but were cautious due to lower ratings.
Let me tell you that from the tour to post enrollment our experience here has been a complete 180. Everyone has a warm and loving attitude towards the kids. The preschool teacher took my toddler to play as we toured and didn't cry once while playing with blocks and coloring. All the kids were CLEAN and well behaved. No green or snotty noses. No coughing. No stench of diapers or musk. They installed an air scrubber which is NASA grade for disinfecting the air from virus and bacteria.
The school is smaller which means children get the care they need. The doors are barn style which allows for quick communication. The reports sent home give me a much better sense of how my toddler did that day. It even includes what he ate and his nap time. The curriculum is themed and fun (even for the 1 year olds.)
The only cons about this daycare personally is that the building is old but they are making renovations. Also, even though their play yard is brand new, there is no more shade which worries me for the summer months. As with any daycare, the snacks aren't very healthy. There isn't a place in the USA that doesn't seem to serve pop tarts, cookies, and crackers for snack instead of healthier options. For these things, I will dock a star because I feel many people would find them critical for deciding on this facility.
Overall, this is the perfect place to bring your child if you want to get away from the money hungry chain-style daycares.
My best friend's daughter attends this day care on a daily basis. She is not cared for well, constantly coming home from daycare with teeth marks from a child biting her, mosquito bites from the play yard because staff not spraying her before entering the play yard, over heated from being outside too long without proper hydration, etc.
Her mother is always telling something new that has occurred from the previous day at day care.
My daughter has been enrolled in the center since She was six weeks old. I have never had a complaint. She was out for a week with an illness and I thought for sure she would be clingy when she returned back to daycare, but It was actually quite the opposite. She literally Jumped out of my arms to go with the teacher. It feels so good to know that she is happy there. The staff is always so cheerful and welcoming. I am so glad we chose this day care center.
