Just Don't Do It Nov 03, 2022
I am an employee

I was so excited to work in a daycare environment. The interview went really well. I worked in the baby room. The owner Ch**yl hired me right on the spot. Things started spiraling as soon as I started. Did not get trained, but basically threw into the job. Time off is really hard to come by. The environment can be hostile. The owner of the place makes it hard to work. Parents have relocated there kids because of her. All in all I would NOT recommend working here or bringing your kids here.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My children began going to Little Wonderland in the summer of 2018. Not long after starting there, while buckling my 2-year-old son into his car seat after spending the day at Little Wonderland, I noticed he was chewing on something. It was glass. I dug a small piece of glass about the size of a pea out of his mouth. I unbuckled him and went back into the daycare to show them what I found. They assured me that the glass didn't come from the daycare. Over the next couple of years, employee turnover was frustrating. The children would get to know certain faces each morning when arriving at Little Wonderland and become attached to them. Randomly, their 'teachers' would be gone and a new unknown person would be hired to take over. The constant in and out of new employees left me uneasy about who the 'teachers' were. I witnessed one newer 'teacher' pointing a finger inches from a little girl's nose yelling 'with that attitude, you will never go anywhere in life!' I spoke to the Director about the altercation who assured me that this particular 'teacher' was very good with the children and the little girl was the problem. A few weeks later, I read a police report of alleged child abuse at Little Wonderland. The same 'teacher' I had raised concerns about previously had become physical with a young boy. When I approached the Director of Little Wonderland with the police report and questions, I was met with questions such as 'Why do you have this?' and 'How did you get this?' The Director wouldn't tell me much more than my son wasn't involved and the 'teacher' in question was no longer employed by Little Wonderland. Finally, we were able to find a new daycare provider and stopped attending Little Wonderland. We provided the proper notice of termination of services as outlined in Little Wonderland's contract. Due to us leaving in the middle of the month, we were owed for the remaining portion of the month that would no longer be needed. When we received the check for the remaining balance, I contacted the Director multiple times to request information regarding how the remaining balance was calculated. The Director became very defensive and I was unable to get answers as to what we were being charged for, when we were being charged, and how much we were being charged. This made it very difficult to determine if the amount I was given back was correct. Eventually, I stopped fighting for information and had to accept that my charges were a mystery. In light of my experiences at Little Wonderland and its Director, I cannot recommend Little Wonderland as a child daycare provider.

Do not go to these Daycare (Little wonderland, Little munchkinland and Little brookland) the Owner  is B**** an she don't care about the children and she doesn't care about her employees she will tell you to come in ever if you are sick and if your not feeling/sick well she will tell you you are the one to needs to call your coworkers to find someone the take over shift when you don't know if  it the flu or covid19 or something else that you have that is a virus that can get the children sick. The owner will also tell you need to make up your hours that you missed while being sick. If you go to the doctor office and you send a doctor note saying that you can't be the for a week she will tell you that she talked to her friend who is a "doctor" an that you can still come into work even if you send her a doctor note that says not go to go work and she will also say that she doesn't have to expect the doctor note.

I have toured this provider's facility, but have not used its services

This place is known for being a horrible place to work and to bring your kids. The staff doesn’t want to be there, the director thinks everyone is wrong and is entitled to her opinion only and the owner couldn’t be farther up her own butt. She is a horrible business leader and people like her don’t deserve good things in this world. Avoid at all costs and spend your money elsewhere where your kid will get the proper care and attention.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

Wish I would have found these reviews before I sent my child. They told us they would work with our schedule, didn't happen & ultimately why we left. Their schedule was very different from ours & we tried to make it work, but the days got worse instead of better. The staff is very disjointed, doesn't appear they communicate well or have much experience. There were a few ladies we liked, but the last straw was the passive aggressive notes we'd get from a particular staff member. She was clearly frustrated from her messages, in the end we didn't feel safe with our child in her care. We stopped sending our child for this reason & still had to pay for 2 weeks. Very frustrating, I'd recommend staying away from Little Wonderland & the others this manager owns.

ExEmployee Nov 24, 2020

I am an ex employee. I know a lot of people that still work their and have them on social media. I have seen multiple photos of the daycare kids, infants, toddlers and 3’s and 4’s posted on a current employee’s Snapchat story and also on FB comments. We were told when I worked their that you were not to be on your phone, and this employee had been turned into owner and director and nothing has been done. I feel that it is extremely inappropriate and shows that the kids aren’t getting the attention they should be getting. I have seen the behind the scenes, I have turned in employees for harming children along with other coworkers and nothing comes about it. The daycare is very deceiving. It honestly is just a way to make money, not a passion. It’s sad because the employees that were amazing and really took care of the kids are all gone except for one. And all the people that were more interested in their phone and talking with each other are left. The daycare has some really amazing families, families that it was extremely hard to walk away from, but I definitely feel like a lot of stuff flies that should not. The daycare has so much potential but the wrong people are being praised and kept, and the ones that were good were all pushed away.

Terrible Owner Aug 03, 2020
I have used this provider for less than 6 months

The owner of the company is a terrible, money & power hungry woman. She treats her employees horribly & the pay/benefits are terrible. Pretty much everything the other review said except the staff was amazing & it's not the director who is bad! It's the owner Cheryl Dubas. I was an old employee I can speak from experience as well as ALL of my ex coworkers & people who continue to work for her. It's no secret that nobody likes her because she treats everyone with such disrespect. She does not deserve her business. I loved working there, I loved the kids & the people I worked with. But sometimes you just gotta do whats best for you & I couldn't work for her anymore.

Top Rated Daycare Sep 12, 2019
I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I have used this provider for the 2 years they have been open. I feel their staff is loving and caring. I feel that this is a wonderful daycare. How would anyone know what a staff is paid or benefits unless you are a past employee . Which makes the above review bogus. As far as having to pay when we are on vacation this seems to be pretty standard and expected. So if you are looking for a reasonable priced and caring daycare, I would definitely would recommend them.

STAY AWAY Jul 30, 2019
I have used this provider for less than 6 months

Lack of management. Lack of knowledge. Lack of training. This is what you want an need in a center to care for your child. Director can't keep staff. Due to everything above and horrible pay and minimal benefits. Director is money hungry. Charges parents too much even when they are onot vacation or go to part time hours. So sad.
