Findings: The Surveyors inspected the designated exit areas in the entrance, the Infant classroom and the Toddler classroom and observed the following: - A large copy machine blocks the hallway that leads directly to the Infant outdoor activity area, therefore, the infant teacher must push the large stroller containing the children out through the front door, around a part of the building, and through a gate that leads to the area. - A desk and a door mat are positioned in the entrance doorway that do not allow for the infant stroller to pass throught the front door easily during an emergency evacuation. - A water cooler is stored behind the infant classroom ' s emergency exit door which prevents the door from fully opening. - A table, which is used at meal times, is blocking a designated emergency exit door in the middle, Toddler classroom. |
