Description: Cozy Pine offers a wonderful Montessori/ hands-on approach to learning with a developed workbook program to go along with the curriculum and materials. The classroom environment is set up and divided into several learning areas. Each area is made up of child-sized shelves stocked full of hands-on manipulatives and activities for the children to choose from. The children are free to move about the environment and choose works that are done either on mats or at work tables. Cozy Pine facilities have an open concept with lots of space and light. The open classroom concept allows the facility to group and move the children into several l large and small group working situations. Cozy Pine takes advantage of the multiage groupings throughout the day and is able to turn the process of education into a wonderful and successful adventure in learning for both teacher and child. At Cozy Pine, we promote independence and taking ownership of oneself and ones actions. We teach problem solving, as well as, grace and courtesy. As teachers and assistants, our jobs are many, but recognizing each child's strengths and weaknesses, and setting reasonable goals, helps us to create a warm, peaceful environment.
