About the Provider
We do not segregate our day into a Montessori period and a daycare period. Rather, we’ve integrated our day into a flowing schedule of activities blending the Montessori curriculum with art, Spanish, sign language, cooking, sewing, gardening, animal care, movement, pretend play, carpentry and field trips. The children are with the same consistent, mature staff all day.
Dr. Maria Montessori believed that no human being is educated by another person. He must do it himself or it will never be done. A truly educated individual continues learning long after the hours and years he spends in the classroom because he is motivated from within by a natural curiosity and love for knowledge. Therefore, Dr. Montessori believed that the goal of early childhood education should not be to fill the child with facts from a pre-selected course of studies, but rather to cultivate his own natural desire to learn.”
We feel strongly that children enrolled in full time care are entitled to the highest quality program possible. Countryside Montessori offers a full-day Montessori program for children 2 ½-6 years in a home-like, country atmosphere.
