Description:
The City of Bluefield Parks and Recreation After-School and Day Camp Program focuses on promoting the development of educational values, physical fitness, social and emotional skills, and creativity for school-aged children in the local community. We offer daily homework help with extra emphasis on individual academic needs and a variety of programming activities for our students. We are open all days that Mercer County Schools are closed for snow days, holidays, or other times, from 7:30am - 5:30pm for an All Day Kids Camp. We accept Mountain Heart and will work with a sliding fee schedule. Find our group on Facebook under City of Bluefield Parks and Recreation.
The VISION
Helping our youth Build. Succeed. Persevere
The Mercer County Public School Buses will be responsible for transporting students to our regular After-School Program facility daily. They will transport children from the following schools: Bluefield Middle School, Bluefield Intermediate School, Memorial Primary School, Whitethorn Elementary School. The City of Bluefield Parks and Recreation bus/vehicle will be responsible for transporting children from the following schools with a pre-arranged schedule: Brushfork Elementary School, Bluewell Elementary School. Any student who wishes to attend the program but does not attend one of these Mercer County Schools may register but will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the facility.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
