Description: Our Orwell location is located at 101 Grand Valley Avenue directly across the street from the Grand Valley Schools. We have been bring quality programs to the Grand Valley area since 2004. Choice Child Care is licensed by the state of Ohio to care for infants through school-aged children. Before and after-school care is available with local school busing. The center also offers preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classes for children three through five years of age. The large 5800 sq. ft. building was designed specifically for the care and teaching of young children. Each classroom is spacious and divided into clear individual learning centers holding a wide variety of materials. Every classroom has its own kitchenette area and is equipped with restrooms scaled to the size for the age group. The building is also equipped with an emergency monitoring system that is wired for fire and other emergency services. Exits are available out of every classroom directly to the large three acre playground. The outside environment has wide open areas of grass for ball play, mulch for climbing, and a pavilion for sun shelter.
Your child’s safety is a primary concern and as a result we have equipped the building with a video monitoring system including a front entry-video camera. Each classroom has a monitor displaying the front entrance and staff can release the locking mechanism from any classroom to allow authorized individuals to enter.
The professional teaching staff has a wealth of experience. We emphasize the importance of quality care and are adamant about having low adult-to-child ratios and maintaining small group sizes. All programing is developmentally appropriate and focuses on the Early Learning Content Standards.
We had an abundant of exciting activities through out the year that enhance our programs and tie in community involvement. To name a few of our annual visitors are Jungle Terry, the local fire department, paramedics. dental hygienists, and farmers. We recently purchased an activity bus making it possible for our school age group to travel to places such as Deer Park, Penentary Animal Reserve, museums, and the library program.
